American Horror Story and Mad Men Lead 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Award Nominations!

The 64th Annual Primetime Emmy nominations were announced today, and FX’s American Horror Story and AMC’s Mad Men each racked up a leading 17 nominations. The British import Downton Abbey moved from the Outstanding Miniseries or Movie category last year to Outstanding Drama Series this year, picking up 16 nominations. A&E’s Hatfields & McCoys also earned 16 nominations, while picking up a nomination in the Outstanding Miniseries or Movie category.
Downton Abbey was joined by Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Homeland and Breaking Bad in the Outstanding Drama Series category. Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Girls, 30 Rock and Veep all received Outstanding Comedy Series nominations. See the full list after the jump!
