Wendy Williams Goes Nude For PETA Billboard

Daytime talk show host Wendy Williams is stripping down and bearing all for a new PETA billboard in Times Square. So, why did Williams, who has been known to wear a decent amount of fur in the past, have a change of heart? Celebuzz quotes Williams,

“We should all try to be comfortable in our own skin and let the animals keep theirs,” said Williams.

Zap2it sheds more light on Williams' reasoning.

"I don't really think that fur is the mark of success anymore," says Williams. "As a decent person, with compassion, it just seems like the right thing to support."

The Wendy Williams Show Earns New Studio, Better Set

How you doin’? Wendy Williams’ talk show is certainly doing well. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Wendy Williams Show is getting a new studio, enhanced set and an longer “Hot Topics” segment, all of which will be broadcast in glorious high-definition.

"People will recognize the set from last season, but this season it will be enhanced," Williams told The Hollywood Reporter. Additionally, "we're using high-def, which will make everything sharper, and we have a bigger [studio] space."

Williams also said the "Hot Topics" segment -- a "fan favorite" in which she delivers her take on the biggest headlines -- previously ran about 10-12 minutes, but the expanded segment will run "a good 18 minutes."

"And that's before we even go to commercial," she said. "We get a lot of ground covered in that time."

Former All My Children star turned talk show host Kelly Ripa is among the daytime celebrities included in The Hollywood Reporter’s 35 Most Powerful People in Media.  In THR’s profile, Ripa discusses the ongoing search to replace Regis Philbin as her co-host.

But even amid talk of firming up the chair, Ripa says there’s “no urgency” to finding a permanent replacement and notes the show’s steady performance since Philbin’s exit. Wendy Williams Vows to Save The Twinkie!

Wendy Williams is putting her money where her mouth is, literally. The daytime talk show host and former Dancing With the Stars competitor has launched a campaign to save “our greatest national icon,” the Twinkie. The treat, which she equates with the Grand Canyon, bald eagle and Statue of Liberty in importance, is manufactured by Hostess Brands, which filed for bankruptcy this month.
