Ruh roh! Looks like viewers won't see Melody Thomas Scott in the upcoming web drama The Republic after all. According to the official web site, the actress left the project due to an emergency, and actress Sean Young has stepped in to play The Young and the Restless star's role. Seems like Thomas Scott was so dedicated to the role, she dyed and cut her trademark blond locks!

Melody Thomas Scott is set to star in a web series, The Republic. According to a press release, the show will focus on the lives of the Alden family. Scott will play Martha Alden who's described as an activist fighting the government's newly implemented laws inflicted on her family, while being a working mother. Marc Singer will star as Scott's husband. He is best known for his roles in The Beastmaster and Highlander.
