After careful consideration, I will need to postpone the taping of the Oprah Winfrey interview scheduled for February 22. I admire and respect Oprah and hope to be able to participate in an interview in the future.

Former The View co-host and Oprah Winfrey Show contributor Lisa Ling sat down with Wendy Williams on February 16 to talk about her new show Our America with Lisa Ling on OWN. During the interview Williams asked Ling to weigh in on the tragic news that CBS journalist Lara Logan had been sexually assaulted by an angry Egyptian mob. Ling responded,

“We don’t know the circumstances yet, but when I first heard the story yesterday I was devastated. I have never met her, but she does incredible work and I wish her and her family well and hope that she comes back strong because her work is really unique. She’s a very courageous woman and I wish her well.

Oprah’s "Legendary Soap Star Spectacular" episode airs today! During the soaptastic episode General Hospital’s Genie Francis and Tony Geary reunite onscreen to talk about their character's iconic romance. 

All My Children scored great coverage during the episode, with Susan Lucci and all of Erica’s husbands on stage. How great will it be  to see Michael Nader (ex-Dimitri)? I wouldn’t be surprised if Oprah’s pal Tyler Perry watches, or at least sets his DVR, today since he’s mentioned Katherine Chancellor in the past and the faboosh Jeanie Cooper represents The Young and the Restless.

Now for a smal gripe. I know it’s a lot to pack into just one hour, but couldn’t they have fit in Days of Our Lives' Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso or Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn? Watch the Oprah promo after the jump!
