Ellen DeGeneres has been named Special Envoy for Global AIDS Awareness for the U.S. government by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Zap2it reports. Clinton had this to say about daytime’s funny lady. 

"[Ellen] is going to bring not only her sharp wit and her big heart, but her impressive TV audience and more than 8 million followers on Twitter, to raise awareness and support for this effort. I know we can look forward to many contributions from Ellen and her loyal fans across the globe."

Another day, another report of a talk show pilot being taped. According to The Hollywood Reporter, former The Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel is taping a talk show pilot and Ellen DeGeneres is “involved with the project.” Reportedly, Frankel’s pilot is being produced by Warner Bros’ Telepictures, the same company responsible for Ellen, Lopez Tonight and The Tyra Banks Show.  

Frankel and her husband, Jason Hoppy, currently star in Bethenny Ever After on Bravo.

In the name of Agnes Nixon, let it be true! Josh Duhamel stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres show yesterday to dish about his upcoming flick, Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Ellen got very Glee today as  her show featured Gwyneth Paltrow  and Darren Criss and the Warblers, who performed "Teenage Dream." Paltrow was there to promote her new cook book, while Criss pimped the new Warblers CD released this week. Paltrow and Criss talked about meeting each other for the first time, and at one point, Ellen became an honorary Warbler. Click below to see what I mean.
