What exactly made pop stars Katy Perry and John Mayer call it quits? Mayer dodged questions about the break-up on Ellen, stating:

"Listen, it was a very private relationship going in. It was a private relationship during, and it's a private relationship, still. I can understand asking the question based on some previous answers I have given, but I have finally learned how to put the wall between one thing and the other. I've been much happier since then. I'm on the same journey as everyone else. Coupling is a tricky thing."

Get out your dancing shoes. Ellen DeGeneres’ self-titled talk show has been renewed through the 2016-17 season in 96 percent of the country. The renewal includes all 10 NBC-owned and operated and an additional 179 stations. In a released statement,  Said President of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution Ken Werner:

Ellen is quite simply the best,” Werner said in a statement. “Day in and day out she and her team produce a unique and compelling hour of entertainment which is appointment television for legions of women.  We are absolutely thrilled that NBC, Ellen, Warner Bros. and all of our station partners will be continuing our successful relationship for years to come. Fresh on the heels of her divorce announcement, Bethenny Frankel stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to open up about her personal life. The reality star/business mogul was frank with boss and friend DeGeneres about her situation:

It's difficult. Do I want to be doing this exact thing right now? No, but I can't just only be on reality TV and show everything when it's fairy princess, fairy tale and then not take my hits when I have to. I've kind of had the best worst year ever. So I have to, you know, it's the highs and the lows. ... Just going through something personal you have so many different emotions and I feel like a bit of a disappointment to all of you. And, I feel like a failure.

Bethenny Frankel apparently did a nice showing during her talk show's six-week trial run. On Monday's episode of Ellen, the former reality star announced Bethenny has been picked up. Executive Producer Ellen DeGeneres stated:

We are not going to give a lot of details, because we can’t. But, it is safe to say she will be on television soon. The television show will be back on the air.

Bethenny's trial run debuted in Fox markets in Dallas (KDWF at 1 PM), Los Angeles (KTTV 2 PM),  Minneapolis (KMSP 10 AM), New York (WNYW 11 AM), Philadelphia, (11 AM) and Phoenix (KSAZ 11 AM).
