The Carrie Diaries
Fans of The CW’s soapy dramas can get ready to celebrate. The teen-oriented network has given early renewals to five of its series, including freshman dramas Reign and The Originals!
Old favorites Arrow, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries will also be returning for the 2014-15 season.
Mark Pedowitz, president of The CW, said:
This season we’ve had great success with our new hit series The Originals paired with Supernatural, giving us our best Tuesday nights in years. […] The Vampire Diaries is No. 2 in its time period in the young adult demos, and with Arrow continuing to gain among young men, and Reign growing its time period, we now have strong nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I’m very pleased to announce early pickups for all five series, and let our fans know they’ll have more great drama to look forward to next season.
The CW will kick off their Fall 2013 programming with the fifth season premiere of The Vampire Diaries. This will take place on Thursday, Oct. 3 and will be followed by the premiere of The Vampire Diaries spinoff, The Originals.
The young, mostly undead, adults of Mystic Falls will be dealing with transitioning to college life.
