Soap fans and reality lovers might recognize the pretty face and svelte figure on the cover of the August issue of SELF Magazine. Yep, that's none other than Days of Our Lives star and The Biggest Loser host Alison Sweeney, who dishes about how hosting Loser has helped her be a winner at keeping the pounds off.  Here's a snippet on how Sweeney finally begin gaining control of her battle of the bulge back in 1999:

I put up and shut up.

"In my early 20s, I'd eat a tub of lowfat ice cream and be like, 'Why am I having weight problems?' Dave, my husband, whom I was dating then, finally said, 'Why do you complain? You're beautiful already, but if you want to do something about it, do it. You pursue your career, but you don't attack your weight.' It was loving but an eye-opener. Days of Our Lives’ Alison Sweeney dropped by the Sirius OutQ studio and went on the mic with Larry Flick and Keith Price on The Morning Jolt With Larry Flick on July 20.  During the visit, they cover everything from Johnny having his eye plucked out on DAYS to The Biggest Loser and Sweeney’s teaming up with Crest Oral B.

They also chat about about the return of Patrick Muldoon and Christie Clark, as Austin and Carrie, to Salem. How will Sami react to their return? Flick also wants to know what it's like to work opposite James Scott.

It looks like J.D. Roth and Todd Nelson are going to have a lot more time to focus on the fat porn, er weight loss reality shows they're producing for The Mouse House. According to Deadline.com, Roth and Nelson's 3 Ball Productions has been suspended as co-producers of NBC's hit weight loss competition series The Biggest Loser. 

The suspension by Reveille comes not-so-ironically on the heels of the success of 3 Ball's "super obese" spectacle Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition which recently premiered on ABC. The production company is also helming essentially a daytime rip off of The Biggest Loser (minus the competition angle that actually makes TBL interesting) called The Revoultion, which, as previously reported, has been slated to replace ABC Daytime's most watched soap opera One Life to Live this January. 

Wow. If we ever start liking our veggies on our own what ever will these guys do for a living?

NBC has released their Fall 2011 schedule, and from the looks of it they plan to fill a lot of holes from this past season. The only night that doesn’t have a new show is Tuesday, where The Biggest Loser and Parenthood continue to hold down the fort.

Eddie Cibrian’s The Playboy Club will air on Mondays. Comedies Up All Night and Free Agents will air on Wednesday. NBC adds Whitney to its comedy lineup on Thursday and will air the drama Prime Suspect from 10-11 p.m. The fairy tale series Grimm will be sandwiched between Chuck and Dateline NBC on Fridays.
