TNT's masterful, summer saga Dallas tied USA Network's hit Royal Pains as the top original cable program on Wednesday night. Both series netted a 1.1 among adults 18-49. Dallas was down two-tenths of a point from last week's demo, and was watched by over four million total viewers. READ MORE

Former As the World Turns stars Vanessa Ray, Marnie Schulenburg and Meredith Hagner reunited with Jake Silbermann at the Abingdon Theatre, on August 25, for a screening of Silbermann’s film STUFFER.  So what have these ATWT stars been up too since the long-running soap went off the air?

Ray has appears in USA Network’s new hit series Suits–the best new series of the summer–as Jenny Griffith. Hagner starred in the cancelled FX series Lights Out and continues to pop up on USA’s Royal Pains. Earlier this year Schulenburg joined Ilene Kristen, Brittany Underwood, Kristen Alderson and Ellen Dolan for a brief run in My Big Gay Italian Wedding.

The mysterious peeps behind Prospect Park are starting to make their presence known on the sets of All My Children and most recently One Life to Live. While my sources tell me the execs couldn't get into too many specifics—on the advice of their attorneys—until they completed negotiations with the respective unions representing the sudsers, one thing that was clearly communicated was PP's desire to see their soap actors appear on their small stable of cable series!

"They told the actors that if they become a part of the Prospect Park family, they'd want to help grow their careers by assisting them in getting parts on their other shows like Royal Pains and Wilfred," says a setsider.

Hopefully this will entice a few current Pine Valley and Llanview dwellers to make the jump with the shows online, as several big name stars have already announced plans to move on. As I previously reported, my sources tell me PP also has a pact in place giving them first dibs to license General Hospital when and if that series is cancelled by ABC. READ MORE

Where in the world is Matt Lauer? At this exact moment I’m not sure, but I know where he will be. TVLine is reporting that The Today Show host will be appearing as himself in an upcoming episode of USA’s hit series Royal Pains.

The episode, titled “Ta Da For,” finds Lauer attempting to vacation in the Hamptons — though Evan’s (Paulo Constanzo) incessant pestering for a Today profile on HankMed makes relaxing difficult for the daytime TV staple.

Royal Pains' season premiere aired June 29.
