Les Moonves on Daytime Emmy Telecast: "It Wasn't A Very Well Produced Show"

CBS  President and Chief Executive Officer Les Moonves was not a fan of the 40th Annual Daytime Emmy awards telecast. TMZ caught up with the Tiffany network’s top dog who didn’t mince words on how he felt about HLN’s second year in a row airing the award ceremony. Mooves stated:

You know what ... it wasn't a very well produced show and you can put that on the air.

Betty White Makes a Heavenly Appearance on Save Me (VIDEO)

NBCUniversal Renews 'Steve Harvey' Through 2016




Steve Harvey has made NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution a happy group. The comedian's self-titled talk show has been renewed through 2016.

The breakout chatfest has been picked up in over 65 percent of the country. The Steve Harvey Show, which is produced by Endemol, is one of the few freshman talk shows to prove a solid hit.

In a released statement, NBC Broadcasting Chairman Ted Harbert said:

Steve is one of the best entertainers in the country and his first season has been a tremendous success because of the personal connection he makes with the daytime audience. It's so great to see Steve’s very funny and substantive show being rewarded with long-term commitments from our station partners. READ MORE

The Talk to Host Post Daytime Emmy Awards Party June 17!


 

TV Guide Magazine’s Michael Logan is reporting The Talk will host a post Daytime Emmy show on June 17. The show will feature winners from the 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, including talk shows and soap operas from rival networks.

The 40th Annual Daytime Emmy awards airs June 16 at 8 pm EST on HLN.

Knife-Wielding Man Causes Panic at Today! (VIDEO)




Drama unfolded near the Rockefeller Plaza set of The Today Show this morning. An unidentified man pulled out a knife and started cutting his wrists, while Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie were outside hosting live.

NBC security stepped in and disarmed the man, who was taken to St. Luke’s hospital for treatment. Later, the show went back inside the studio where Lauer discussed the incident on air, stating the man was trying to harm himself. Watch the TMZ video of the incident after the jump!

Eileen Davidson on Jeanne Cooper: "She Was Really an Amazing Person"




The late Jeanne Cooper’s work ethics never ceased to amaze her colleagues. Days of Our Lives firecracker Elieen Davidson recently chatted with We Love Soaps and discussed how Cooper always brought her A-game while the two were on The Young and the Restless. Here's an excerpt:

WE LOVE SOAPS: We recently lost daytime legend Jeanne Cooper. Could you share some thoughts on what it was like to work with her?

EILEEN DAVIDSON: She was really an amazing person...never complained...had the same call times and working just as much as we all were. I remember I was working with her in a storyline just a couple of years ago and we were in a hospital scene at 9 o'clock at night. She had a big monologue and somebody mentioned she had just turned 80. I knew she had just had a birthday but I thought she turned 70. I was like, "You've got to be kidding me." I will never complain about anything again. She was just that good, and that humble about everything. She was also a stinker, very funny, very raunchy woman, and really just a joy to work with.
