Rachael Ray Weighs in on Katie Couric, Ricki Lake and The Chew

Is Rachael Ray worried about competition from Katie Couric and Ricki Lake’s new talk shows next fall or ABC’s The Chew this season? When asked about the topics by Zap2it, Ray responded:

"I'm a huge Katie fan, and I think she's going to kill it. And I love Ricki. There's going to be a lot of great television to watch. Anderson Earns Second Best Opening Since Rachael Ray

While new additions to The Talk, the debut of The Chew and Hot Topics on The View have been grabbing the majority of the headlines among daytime’s talk and lifestyle shows, Anderson Cooper’s new talk show has been going strong since its debut. According to The Hollywood Reporter,

Anderson had a 1.4 national rating for week two (after Nielsen recalculated the rating for the first week), which made it the second biggest opening for a new talk show since Rachel Ray in 2006. Only Dr. Oz had a higher debut when he launched in 2009.
