Katie Suffers Lowest Rated Week Since Talk Show’s Debut

Katie Couric’s talk show Katie continues to decline in the ratings. According to Broadcasting & Cable, Katie dropped six percent in the live plus same day household rating category for the week ending October 7. However, Katie remained atop all other new talk shows that premiered this season.

Katie Searching for Executive Producer as Jeff Zucker Explores Other Opportunities

Ricki Lake isn’t the only talk show host looking to bring in a new executive producer. According to Deadline, Katie Couric’s talk show Katie is hunting for someone to replace Jeff Zucker. Reportedly, Zucker is under consideration for several jobs, including the possibility of taking over at the ratings-challenged CNN.
'Maury' Leading Syndie Talk Shows Among W25-54

Forget all the buzz about new talk shows from Katie Couric, Ricki Lake and Steve Harvey. Veteran trash TV talker Maury Povich is proving he’s still got game!
According to TV Week, Maury led all talk shows the week of September 17, among women 25-54, with a 1.7 rating in the demo, up from 1.4 last season. Among households, Dr. Phil leads the pack with a 3.1 average this season, followed by Live with Kelly and Michael at 2.6.

Katie might be the No. 1 new syndicated daytime talk show, but The Perky One's numbers are continuing to slide from her impressive Sept. 10 debut. According to Broadcasting and Cable, Katie has slid 17 percent to a 1.9/6 rating in households. The Katie Couric-helmed vehicle has also fallen 25 percent among women 25-54. READ MORE
Katie Reveals Collegiate Battle With Eating Disorder

Katie Couric took a page straight out of former talk queen Oprah Winfrey's playbook today. She revealed her own personal struggles with an eating disorder, using her daytime talk show as a platform.
During an episode of Katie, featuring anorexia, bulimia and self-mutilation survivor Demi Lovato, Couric shared she had battled an eating disorder while in college. Watch video clips from today's powerful episode of Kate after the jump!
