Good Morning America
The gang at Good Morning America bid farewell to one of their own on Wednesday. Meteorologist Sam Champion, who had been with the program since 2006, marked his last day on the ABC morning show.
His colleagues gave an emotional send-off to the popular weatherman, as he heads off to run The Weather Channel. Champion’s teary-eyed GMA co-host Josh Elliott told his pal:
I just want to say thank you because it's been a gift each and every day to work with you, Sam. A lot of people talk about our bromance. For me it was just a friendship. I promise there's happy on the inside, but the tears... aw, I'm going to miss you. I love you, Sam.
Good Morning America isn't taking any prisoners! The No. 1 morning show widened its lead over the former King of Morning Shows, Today, by 40 percent versus the same time last year. ABC continues to tout GMA's strength in total viewers and all target demos. READ MORE
Good Morning America's popular meteorologist Sam Champion is departing the morning show and heading over to The Weather Channel. Champion, who has been with the ABC chatfest since 2006, will sign on to the Weather Channel as a managing editor and on air host. ABC News President Ben Sherwood said in a released statement:
While there is no replacing Sam, we are in excellent hands with his storm chasing partner of the last few years, meteorologist Ginger Zee, who will take over his weather responsibilities at GMA and across ABC News. As you know, Ginger always rushes straight toward the eye of any storm and weaves cutting-edge science with human emotion to elevate our coverage. I knew the moment they took off those purity rings, Satan would prevail. The Jonas Brothers appeared on Good Morning America on Wednesday to discuss the break up heard round the world. Which Jo Bro was most ready to call it quits? Apparently baby brother Nick, who said this to Robin Roberts:
"In a nutshell I said, look, I feel like we've had some complications within the group for a long time. Without addressing them, I think this train will fall off the tracks. Without really getting real about some of the concerns and some of the limitations that we may feel as individuals within the group. It was a tough conversation, I'm not going to lie. It was the first time we'd really had that real conversation and it was a few days of working through it. Now we've all come to a place after a lot of time thinking about it and talking about it together where we feel like we're better suited to do our own individual things, all the things we're passionate about, and choose to be brothers first."
Somewhere, Yoko Ono just breathed a sigh of relief. She can't be blamed for this one. Watch Nick, Kevin and Joe on GMA after the jump! READ MORE
