Oprah, Anne Sweeney and Ellen Make Forbes' Most Powerful Women List

Who are the most powerful women in the world, and what presence do they have in shaping daytime television? Forbes addressed the first part of that question in their annual ranking of the World's Most Powerful Women.

Among those associated with daytime who made the cut, Oprah Winfrey came in highest at No. 13. The former daytime talk show host, who still produces daytime programming (Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Rachael Ray) via Harpo Productions, was cited for the turnaround at her cable network OWN. READ MORE

Robin Roberts Recuperating After Brief Hospital Stay

Popular Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts fell ill, while vacationing in Key West recently. The TV journalist broke the news herself to fans via Facebook.  Posted Roberts:

My heart continues to go out to the remarkably strong people of Boston. We stand by you now and always.

It saddens me that I haven't been able to join my colleagues in covering this important story.

Last week, in the middle of my Key West vacation, I began not to feel well. Nothing serious, just under the weather. I contacted my doctors and flew back to NYC. They felt it best to admit me into the hospital for a few days. Seems my young immune system needed a little boost to fight off "opportunistic infections".

My doctors assured me that this was NOT because I was working or doing too much, too soon. It's extremely common, post bone marrow transplant, to have complications. I'm blessed that mine have not been severe.

I'm feeling MUCH better, and will relax at home for the rest of the week. I'll be back on GMA next week...as my sweet momma would say: "Good Lord willing, and the creek don't rise!"
Miss you and bless you..XO

Brad Paisley Hits The Talk Show Circuit to Defend "Accidental Racist" (VIDEO)

Country crooner Brad Paisley is catching a lot of flack for one particular song on his latest CD, Wheelhouse. In "Accidental Racist", Paisley and duet partner LL Cool J tackle racial tensions between a white Southerner and a black man from the North. Didn't In The Heat of the Night (the movie and TV show) already take care of this subject?

 Here's a snippet of the song's lyrics:

I’m just a white man comin’ to you from the south land tryin’ to understand what it’s like not to be.
I’m proud of where I’m from but not everything we’ve done. It ain’t like you and me can rewrite history.
Our generation didn’t start this nation. We’re still pickin’ up the pieces, walkin’ on eggshells, fightin’ over yesterday.
Caught between southern pride and southern blame.

Paisley has taken to the daytime talk show circuit to explain the track, which has everyone debating heatedly. Personally, I think this is exactly what the late Dr. Martin Luther King foretold. We've finally reached the day when all of God's children, black men and white men, can team up to make a really awful song. Watch Paisley's appearances on Ellen and Good Morning America after the jump!
