Who needs another season of original, scripted drama on SOAPnet? TV Guide Canada is reporting there are no plans for a third season of the critically-acclaimed General Hospital spinoff, General Hospital: Night Shift.

We're hearing from several sources that Lisa de Cazotte (and yes it is with an "S") is thisclose to coming to All My Children as an executive producer. Whether or not the former Passions and General Hospital: Night Shift show runner will be second-in-command to current executive producer Julie Hanan Carruthers, or if she will be taking over the show completely is unknown as of yet.

We're hoping for the latter. I know a lot of people feel AMC has improved in recent months, and while I am enjoying the revitalization of Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) and the Reese/Bianca (Tamara Braun and Eden Riegel) romance, I find the rest of the show very Helter Skelter, almost to the point of being unwatchable. After the stellar job de Cazotte did with the second season of Night Shift, I would love to see her make some sense out of what is taking place in Pine Valley. READ MORE

General Hospital and Night Shift star Tristan Rogers is auctioning off memorabilia in support of Project Cuddle.  The auction, which begins tonight, includes four autographed scripts from Night Shift, "The Chemo Cut" package from Night Shift and Robert Scorpio's 1980 trench coat from General Hospital.

Ladies who have ever gotten chapped lips from kissing the back of their hands while pretending they were Antonio Sabato Jr.'s lips are in luck. VH1 has sent out the casting call for its upcoming, untitled reality show featuring the soap god.

Sabato Jr. recently made quite the splash with his 13-week appearance on the critically-acclaimed General Hospital spinoff Night Shift, reprising his signature role as Jagger Cates. For the new reailty show, which will reportedly feature soap opera-inspired challenges, nubile, young contestants will be transplanted to exotic locales, where they can swap spit with the Italian Stallion in hopes of becoming his one true love, or at the very least, landing a gig as a special correspondent on Entertainment Tonight (just kidding). Fans of the General Hospital spin-off, Night Shift, saw Touissant (Billy Dee Williams) holding a picture of a little boy in the Season Two finale who was supposed to be Touissant's son. The picture used was of a 6 year old boy who had been kidnapped and murdered in 2007.  SOAPnet has issued an apology for this mistake.

"We offer our deepest condolences to the Barrios family for their loss, and our sincerest apologies for any pain caused by our mistake," said a statement from the networks. SOAPnet will be running PSAs to raise awareness about missing and exploited children and will permanently edit out the photo from the episode.
