Almost Entire CBS Daytime Lineup Posts Double Digit Ratings Gains Year-to-Date




Instead of breakfast at the Tiffany Network, how about a champagne brunch? CBS Daytime's entire lineup racked up killer ratings the week of April 7!

The Young and the Restless was up 18 percent over the same week last year in total viewers, 18 percent among women 25-54 and 17 percent among W18-49. An impressive 4.67 million people tuned in for Y&R the week in question.

Y&R's sister soap, The Bold and the Beautiful was up 18 percent in total viewers, 15 percent among W25-54 and 10 percent among W18-49. Over 3.3 million people watched B&B the week of April 7.  Keep reading to find out just how good the entire CBS Daytime lineup did!

General Hospital Stars to Appear on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire April 1-2

To continue with the celebration of General Hospital’s 50th anniversary, Finola Hughes and Jason Thompson will take part in a two-day special episode of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire with host Meredith Vieira, starting April 1. Both Hughes and Thompson will partner up on the game show and donate their winnings to The Art of Elysium, a non-profit organization that encourages musicians, actors and artists to volunteer their talents and time with sick children.

Vieira will also return to GH to tie in with the show’s anniversary as former madam-turned-cosmetics exec Bree Flanders. Take a peek at Vieira slipping back into her old role after the jump! READ MORE

Could Matt Lauer or Anderson Cooper Replace Alex Trebek as Jeopardy! Host?

If things turn bad for Matt Lauer at Today it appears he may already have another hosting gig waiting in the wings. According to the New York Post, Lauer is atop the list of potential replacements for Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek, who is expected to leave the show in 2016. CNN’s Anderson Cooper is also in the running for the job.

According to sources with knowledge of the internal discussions, Sony is also strongly considering Anderson Cooper — whose contract with CNN reportedly ends next year — for the job.

But right now, Lauer’s name is at the top of the list, several sources say.
