The Originals Throw a Ball on The Vampire Diaries!

The Vampire Diaries is the first show I watch on my DVR when I get home on Thursdays. Tonight, you can bet your sweet bippy the moment I’m done with the newest episode of DeVanity I’ll be watching TVD’s “Dangerous Liaisons,” because Mystic Falls is throwing a ball! Not only that, but a wave of juicy tidbits have hit the web teasing TVD’s episode.

Zap2it features 6 Things to Know about “Dangerous Liasons.” The Huffington Post caught up with ex-ATWT star Zach Roerig, who teased the possibility of Matt and Rebekah (Claire Holt). But what of the chemistry between Rebekah’s brother Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline (Candice Accola)?

TVLine got Accola to weigh in on Caroline’s feelings for Klaus and the dance they share at the ball. Meanwhile, does Damon (Ian Somerhalder) need to get his mojo back? In an interview with TV Guide, TVD star previews the return of the Damon fans love: "You'll start to really see Damon shift from being repressed and stomped on to really making a shift and getting back this mojo he had." If all that isn’t enough to get you to tune in for tonight’s The Vampire Diaries, maybe the Entertainment Weekly covers above or the trailer for “Dangerous Liaisons” after the jump will.

If you watched the Giants beat the Patriots last night in the Super Bowl it was virtually impossible to miss NBC’s trailers for The Voice and newcomer Smash. Starring Oscar winner Anjelica Huston, Emmy winner Debra MessingAmerican Idol’s Katharine McPhee and Jack Davenport, NBC desperately needs Smash to be a ratings success.

Fortunately, the hype isn’t overblown. NBC offered the pilot on iTunes and it t was so good I intend to watch it again and I've already set the series up to record on my DVR.  TV Guide’s Damian Holbrook recently served up a preview of Smash, on the Pop Confidential podcast, from his visit to the Smash set. However, if you can’t listen to the podcast while at work, check out On The Set: The Curtain Rises for NBC's Smash at TV Guide.
