That certainly hasn't been the case, with the former Erica Kane pulling double duty on Devious Maids and ID's Deadly Affairs. Just what has been the hold up in regards to Erica Kane fabulously descending upon Pine Valley? All My Children legend Susan Lucci broke it down in a recent We Love Soaps interview. Said La Lucci:
"I'm trying, and they are trying. There's a lot to work out simply because when they went into production I was in Atlanta working on the Marc Cherry series, DEVIOUS MAIDS. And now we're about to start Season 2 on my Investigation Discovery series, DEADLY AFFAIRS next week in New York. So that's a lot of complicated scheduling. Plus, ALL MY CHILDREN's schedule is also complicated and challenging because they work five weeks on and five weeks off. So trying to marry those two things, that's what the challenge is and that's what we're going to try to make happen." READ MORE
Will Susan Lucci finally make an appearance on the online version of All My Children? In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, La Lucci revealed she and Prospect Park are in talks for her to reprise legendary diva Erica Kane. Lucci stated:
"We are going to be meeting in the next couple of weeks, all in the same room to put our books on the table and see what we can come up with." READ MORE
Will Susan Lucci reprise the legendary role of Erica Kane on Prospect Park's online version of All My Children? The soap diva stopped by The View today where the co-hosts, and special guest chatter Brooke Shields asked the million-dollar question. According to La Lucci:
"I so hope that I can return. I want with all my heart to return to All My Children. I just don't know the answer yet, but what I do know is that all of us are working so hard to make that happen. I really want to."

Great news for Sussan Lucci fans! The All My Children diva's series, Deadly Affairs has been given the green light for a second season. La Lucci hosts and portrays characters during true crime reenactments on the Investigation Discovery reality series. In a released statement, ID's President Henry Schleiff said:
Our first foray into the nighttime soap genre with DEADLY AFFAIRS brought the perfect combination of intriguing storytelling and guilty pleasure that enticed a passionate fan base. We are thrilled to continue our affair with Susan Lucci and Sirens Media for the second season of DEADLY AFFAIRS and further tempt our viewers with more stories that prove real life is often stranger than fiction.
