The Talk Co-Hosts Don Big Hair and Sequins for Dallas Reunion

CBS Daytime's The Talk celebrated the return of Dallas to the airwaves with a special reunion episode today. Co-hosts Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood dressed up in sequins and wore Texas-size wigs as they interviewed Larry Hagman (J.R.), Linda Gray (Sue Ellen) and Patrick Duffy (Bobby). Could Ted Shackelford and Joan Van Ark be gearing up for a reunion at the Southfork ranch? Van Ark chatted with KSiteTV about the possibility of her and her former Knots Landing leading man reprising the roles of Valene and Gary Ewing for TNT's reboot of Dallas.
The Ewings of Dallas are returning soon (on TNT June 13). Is there any chance we might see Valene on this new show?
Well, rumor has it… I’m having lunch with Ted Shackelford tomorrow. They asked him to come down and be part of it. It was several months ago, and he’s deeply into filming The Young And The Restless, the daytime soap for CBS. But if they asked Gary, maybe they’ll ask [for Val].

There may be less soap operas to watch in the daytime, but primetime and cable is about to spill over with frothy, new suds! Here's a list of 11 upcoming soaps that have us ready to do a little scrubbing!
No. 11: Hollywood Heights, Nick-at-Night
You can bet displaced, former daytime soap opera professionals—not to mention the genre’s fans—will be paying close attention to the success or failure of Hollywood Heights this summer. If HH proves to be a hit, it could lead to a slew of similar five-day-a-week, English-launguage sudsers!
Nick-at-Nite's attempt to create, produce and market a daily soap opera at night has a lot of sudsy cred. The series is based on a telenova and is written and produced by former daytimers Josh Griffith and Jill Farren Phelps. Several daytime actors are also in the cast, including One Life to Live alum Brittany Underwood in the lead role of aspiring songwriter Loren.
Nick’s Viacom cousin TeenNick has had success with this form via imported daily dramas Degrassi and House of Anubis. Here’s hoping they can do it again when Hollywood Heights premeires at 9 pm EST, June 18 on Nick-at-Nite. Like Hollywood Heights on Facebook!

Charlene Tilton Joins DeVanity’s Third Season

The delicious web soap DeVanity has scored another soaptastic star for its upcoming third season! Dallas star Charlene Tilton has been cast as Francesca DeVanity, “the bitter sister of the late Richard DeVanity.” Why haven't we seen her before, you might be asking? Apparently, Francesca has been in exile in Paris!
