Thursday night was Suds Night on Cable. While All My Children's Susan Lucci was being fawned over by Andy Cohen on Bravo, General Hospital was on the radar of Chelsea Handler. The comedian opened her hit E! talk show Chelsea Lately by ripping the camptastic catfight between Carly Corinthos Jacks (Laura Wright) and Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) that recently happened in fictional Port Charles, NY.

While I'm sure some soap fans are pissed that Handler called Wright and Sullivan "botoxed bitches", I think anytime a daytime soap is featured on E! or Bravo—two cablers that boast oodles of the 18-34-year-old eyeballs soaps desperately need—it's a win for the genre! If a few of Handler's diehard viewers roll out of bed today—no doubt following gnarly vodka hangovers—and search their cable guides for GH, in order to find out what Handler was making fun of, so be it! Plus, it really was all in good fun, no?
