Live+7 Benefits Struggling and Strong

The Live Feed is reporting that the DVR Live+7 used by primetime TV has helped a slew of TV shows achieve marked gains in ratings. Life, Lipstick Jungle, Heroes, 90210, Grey's Anatomy, Dirty Sexy Money, Private Practice, Smallville, Prison Break, Boston Legal, Terminator and Chuck all had viewership gains of 17 - 36%.

No wonder several of these smaller shows have been picked up by their networks. What I don't understand is why the ratings for daytime soaps, which require an even larger commitment to watch, aren't calculated on Live+7? Imagine the percentage of viewership increases the soaps could have if their ratings were calculated with Live+7?

Visit The Live Feed to find out how much your favorite show's ratings increased with Live+7.

Betty Thinks Barack Obama's Sexy

You just gotta love Betty White (The Bold and the Beautiful). Check out this clip of Betty's appearance on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson in which she admits she finds Presidential candidate Barack Obama sexy.

Star Jones Sets Sights on Comeback

Britney Spears and Star Jones have something in common. They are both trying to make a comeback. The former The View host talks about regaining her confidence in the November issue of Essence, which is available on October 12th.

"Star is back...I have now proven to myself that whatever life throws at me, I can catch it and I can throw it right back. I'm confident again."

Do you think that Star Jones can make a comeback? If so where would you like to see her land? Another talk show? A TV legal analyst? On a legal drama like Boston Legal?

ABC Promo: Jaw, Meet Floor

Jaw, meet floor. ABC actually did a TV promo that included soap stars from All My Children, One Life to Live and General Hospital that wasn't daytime specific. In the spot, promoting the entire ABC lineup, All My Children's Susan Lucci, Cameron Mathison, and Rebecca Budig, One Life to Live's Farah Fath and John-Paul Lavoisier and General Hospital's Maurice Bernard and Steve Burton all appear among other ABC stars including the ladies of Desperate Housewives, America Ferrera, Boston Legal's William Shatner and James Spader, and the cast of Grey's Anatomy, among others.

Bold and Beautiful: Robin Riker Joins Cast

Soaps.com is reporting that The Bold and the Beautiful has cast primetime TV star Robin Riker as Beth Logan. Reportedly her first appearance is in July.

According to IMDB Riker has appeared in a host of primetime TV shows including Big Love, The Closer, Boston Legal, Malcum in the Middle, Crossing Jordan, NCIS, Dragnet and Reba to name a few.

Now since bloggers like to dig up the old work of stars from their earlier days, I found this You Tube gem from Riker's 1980 film Alligator. Oh the cheesy goodness of the 80's.
