Good Morning America correspondent and former All My Children star Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery) is gearing up to celebrate the holidays. Mathison, along with Beverly Hills 90210 actress Jennie Garth, will co-star in the ABC Family movie, Holidaze.
The flick centers on Melody (Garth), a corporate guru who works for a leading retail company. Melody must put her holiday plans with friends on ice to go back to her small hometown to persuade the residents to allow her company to build a new store in their area. Things get a bit messy when the town's people are against her ideas. After a nasty accident, she winds up in a different universe where she is married to her childhood sweetheart Carter (Mathison)!
Holidaze debuts on ABC Family Dec. 8 at 8 PM EST.
With PBS being most famous right now as the network of Downton Abbey for its American viewers, it's only fitting they should air a primetime soap special. Since 2008, the series Pioneers of Televsion has documented the early rise of various television genres.
On Jan. 22, audiences will see an episode entitled, "Primetime Soaps," which will examine the first love triangles, baby swaps and mental breakdowns to reach primetime viewers.
