Lindsay Lohan to Play Old Hollywood Era Liz Taylor

Lindsay Lohan has officially snagged the role of Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime’s new biopic. Liz and Dick will follow the famed on again/off again relationship of Hollywood legends Taylor and Richard Burton

It was previously reported Lohan’s former Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen costar, Transfomers vixen Megan Fox, was also considered for the role of the onetime Cleopatra.

This is the second big news involving an apparent Lohan comeback. Earlier in the week it was announced Lohan would host Saturday Night Live on March 3, with musical guest Jack White. This will be her third time appearing as a host, the last time being in 2006. Since then the troubled star’s career has taken a backseat to her legal woes.

Playboy Offers Lindsay Lohan Almost $1 Million to Pose Nude

Lindsay Lohan is accustomed to having her photo snapped by paparazzi and splashed across tabloid covers, but now she’s allegedly posing for Playboy. According to TMZ, the magazine is forking over nearly $1 million dollars.

Sources tell us the deal has been in the works for months, and that Lindsay balked at an initial $750K offer because she wanted ... ONE MILLION dollars ... to show the world what her momma gave her (apologies for the DiLo reference).

PC #29: Shameless Executive Producer Andrew Stearn Interview

It's the show the Pop Confidential crew can't stop talking about, Showtime's hit dramedy Shameless. On today's Pop Confidential podcast, Andrew Stearn, president of John Wells Productions, and one of the executive producers of Shameless, joins Jamey Giddens, Luke Kerr, Jillian Bowe and Regan Cellura to talk about his company's bombastic adaptation of Paul Abbott's long-running British series.

The PC gang couldn't wait to dish with Stearn about the series Regan compares to crack, because it's so addictive. Tune in to hear them find out from Stearn what first attracted John Wells Productions to the original U.K. series about the wonderfully dysfunctional Gallaghers.

Stearn reveals the journey his team went on to adapt Shameless for the U.S. market. You won't believe which broadcast network the project was originally slated for before it was pitched to HBO and then finally Showtime.

Find out how John Wells and Stearn got an actor of William H. Macy's caliber to basically lie down on the floor in a drunken stupor, as the unrepentent Frank Gallagher for the Shameless pilot. Stearn also gushes about how the rest of his stellar cast came together, from Emmy Rossum (Fiona), to Justin Chatwin (Steve/Jimmy), to Shanola Hampton (Veronica), Steve Howey (Kev), Ethan Cutkosky (Carl) and all the rest, Shameless boasts arguably the best ensemble on television.

Watch Jackée Harry in The Ideal Husband on GMC

We Love Soaps’ Damon Jacobs caught up with former Another World, Sister, Sister and 227 star Jackée Harry and visited with her about her latest project, The Ideal Husband.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: What makes The Ideal Husband special and different?

Jackée Harry: It shows the complexities. It talks about infidelity, lies, secrets. That sounds like a soap opera. But in the African-American community no one talks about it, we sweep it under the rug. We are only now beginning to explore the fact that we do certain things. There is a twist and turn in this movie as well. That’s what makes it different. There is a surprise. He does something that is a little scandalous. I play the mother of the young girl played by Shanti Lowry. She and her husband have difficulties. All the couples around them are having difficulties, but hers are a bit more complex. It involves genetics, let’s just say that.

They also chat about her time on Another World, her Emmy win and her time on Broadway.

The Ideal Husband airs on the GMC network on Saturday, February 26 at 9 PM
