Tyler Christopher Bumped To Contract Status On General Hospital

Great news for Tyler Christopher fans. The General Hospital favorite has been placed on contract with the show. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Christopher is sticking around Port Charles where he stated,

It took us a few months to work out the details, but I signed last week," he reports. "I'm really happy about it. I love the show and I'm having a great time.

Les Moonves on Daytime Emmy Telecast: "It Wasn't A Very Well Produced Show"

CBS  President and Chief Executive Officer Les Moonves was not a fan of the 40th Annual Daytime Emmy awards telecast. TMZ caught up with the Tiffany network’s top dog who didn’t mince words on how he felt about HLN’s second year in a row airing the award ceremony. Mooves stated:

You know what ... it wasn't a very well produced show and you can put that on the air.

Grey’s Anatomy Promotes Four Newcomers to Series Regulars

It looks like most of Grey’s Anatomy’s First Year Interns will continue their medical training. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gaius Charles (pictured with Sandra Oh above), Camilla Luddington, Jerrika Hinton and Tessa Ferrer will all return as series regulars when the new season of Grey's Anatomy hits the airwaves this fall.

However, there was no word on Tina Majorino’s status.

Missing from the list is Tina Majorino, who recurred as Heather, the most-likely-to-succeed intern at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Majorino, who this week signed on to reprise her role as Mac in the upcoming Veronica Mars movie, is a series regular on TNT's Howard Gordon drama Legends.

Scandal Ups Scott Foley to Series Regular

It looks like Scott Foley’s Jake Ballard will be sticking around Scandal. According to TV Guide, Foley will be a series regular next season.

"I'm thrilled to join such a talented, enthusiastic and professional group of people," Foley said in a statement. "Shonda [Rhimes] and company have created a troupe of layered complex characters and to be able to be part of that is both exciting and humbling."

Guiding Light's Grant Aleksander Joins Tainted Dreams


 

Guiding Light fan favorite Grant Aleksander is heading back to soaps. Aleksander has landed a role on the upcoming web dramedy Tainted Dreams, as Adam Clark, the executive producer of the fictional series, Painted Dreams. Sonia Blangiardo, the mastermind behind Tainted Dreams and supervising producer of the online version of All My Children said in a released statement,

In a bit of art imitating life, Grant has been focusing behind the scenes honing his directing skills, and we are thrilled he has agreed to step back in front of the camera to play the executive producer of Tainted Dreams fictionalized soap 'Painted Dreams'. READ MORE

NBCUniversal Renews 'Steve Harvey' Through 2016




Steve Harvey has made NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution a happy group. The comedian's self-titled talk show has been renewed through 2016.

The breakout chatfest has been picked up in over 65 percent of the country. The Steve Harvey Show, which is produced by Endemol, is one of the few freshman talk shows to prove a solid hit.

In a released statement, NBC Broadcasting Chairman Ted Harbert said:

Steve is one of the best entertainers in the country and his first season has been a tremendous success because of the personal connection he makes with the daytime audience.
