What an uncomfortable phone call this had to be. TMZ is reporting veteran television journalist and The View co-creator Barbara Walters' daughter, Jacqueline Danforth was arrested yesterday for DUI in Florida.
 
According to the site, Danforth was arrested near Naples, FL, and released from custody on $1,000 bond. Walters and Danforth's reps have remained mum on the latter's run in with the law.

Secret meetings once again had to be held to determine what to do over Defiance.  Olivia (Kerry Washington), Cyrus (Jeff Perry), Hollis (Gregg Henry), Mellie (Bellamy Young), and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn), who replaced Verna, met in the White House kitchen. 

Hollis suggested they should do what they should have done over a year ago: kill David Rosen (Joshua Malina).  Fitz decreed no more bloodshed, and they decided to get the Cytron card back and destroy it this time. 
 
Fitz also informed Liv he wanted her to be his First Lady now, and not wait another four years after the election to be together.  He told her to come up with a plan that made the American public love her more than Mellie, and them as a couple. The former Count Andrassy will return to Pine Valley, when Brooke (Julia Barr) offers him a job at Chandler Media, a new arm of Chandler Enterprises. According to my sources, Dimitri will also be caught up in Jesse (Darnell Williams) and Zach's (Thorsten Kaye) quest to bring home Angie's (Debbi Morgan) daughter Cassandra (Sal Stowers). READ MORE

Today is the day Barbara Walters will reportedly announce her retirement. According to ABC News, the groundbreaking television journalist will reveal plans to hang up the microphone in 2014, today on The View. Said Walters:

“I am very happy with my decision and look forward to a wonderful and special year ahead both on ‘The View’ and with ABC News,” she said. “I created ‘The View’ and am delighted it will last beyond my leaving it.”

Cyrus (Jeff Perry) spent most of this week’s Scandal dodging reporters’ questions about the president’s affair.  Meanwhile, Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) was reluctant to make any statement at first, just wanting to stay in bed with Olivia (Kerry Washington).  How awkward was it having Cyrus stutter at the simple question, “Where is the President?” 
  
Cyrus finally got Fitz back into the Oval, only to be informed POTUS had decided to give a speech that night, telling the American people he would not seek re-election. Cyrus looked like he was going to puke. 

Desperate, he told Fitz to make up with Mellie (Bellamy Young), and he’d help Fitz carry on his affair with Liv.  Fitz stayed firm. He doesn't want an affair; he wanted to openly be with the woman he loves.  READ MORE
