Top 10 Ways To Improve "General Hospital"

They can start by getting rid of the mob (or at least toning it WAY down) and focusing less on the Sonny hr and newbies and more on the vets. I think (most) would agree.

I forgot to add getting rid of Frons and Guza would be the first place to start, does that count???

Bring back the Q's or at least give more airtime to those that remain. I'd love for Edward to find out Jake is a Q and then make a big fuss. I'd also like to see Michael come back and want to grow up to be a corporate raider or for Edward to try to get him into the biz.. sort of like AJ/Jason redux or the next-gen but with Jake and Michael. Okay Jake would have to SORAS for that I suppose (or as Luke pronounces it Sore-A$$).

I have this eery feeling in my stomach that somehow someway Logan isn't dead or will turn out to not be Scott's son after all. Just saying.. that could branch out into something.

I love the campy / comic relief.. and we have a lot of those types on the show right now - most notably Diane and Anthony (interesting mix - dontcha think?). I'd like Bobbie to get a storyline.. hello.. Noah? Jerry? Can't this woman get a break? I've heard of ex-es ignoring each other but GH takes it to extremes.

This murder story is actually playing out really well though and I like the frenemies idea of Lulu and Maxie and to see everyone helping each other out.. involves a lot of players but doesn't seem too crowded thus far.

First, listen to the fans. At least try to give them want they want, after all they are the ones watching the show.
Second, and more importantly, improve the dialogue. While some of it is great (anything involving Diane or Spinelli, and generally even Maxie), most of it isn't. We don't need to go for three months and hear the same conversation between Patrick and Robin everyday. And we don't need to constantly hear why Jason and Elizabeth can't be together, because his life is too dangerous. Either put them together or don't, they'll probably be over in a year anyway.
Third, respect the past. Stop killing off legacy characters, particularly Quartermaines. General Hospital has been on for 45 years, Sonny Corinthos hasn't, and I'm saying this as a huge Jason fan, lay off on the mob stuff a little. We don't need a new 'family" every year, they die for a reason.
Fourth, and most importantly, make LuLu a real person. She is completely ridiculous.

Put Sonny on the back burner.....the WAY back burner!

Give Carly a life! I am so tired of her whining, senior-screeching, and the fact that she never changes. Completely predictable.

Laura Wright is okay, but Tamara Braun kicked ass!!! Bring her back! She was so amazing as Carly that I wound up naming my daughter Carly, in part because of the Tamara version of this character's strength and ferocity!!!

Spinelli and Maxie are magical! Keep it up! I hated Maxie for years, but pairing her with Spin has really shown that she has heart.

Spinelli and Jason is also a great mix! Spin has brought out this wonderful bit of brotherly warmth in Jason, and even causes Stone Cold to smile!

Get rid of Dr. Yawn Hunter!

I really like Nadine...use her more, and bring her Aunt Raelene on to the canvas!

Give Lulu a personality transplant. She used to be wonderful, a joy to watch. But for the last year-plus, she has become redundant, predictable, annoying, whiny, poor-me, and troublesome...much like her Laura Wright portrayed cousin! And truly, someone here nailed it the other day when they asked why Julie Berman and Laura Wright have to shout all their lines? Tone it down a little, ladies, will ya? I find myself fast-forwarding through their parts lately!I surprisingly want more Maxie!

Bring back Georgie!

Allow me to repeat....do something about Carly and Loo Loo's whininess and predictability....let's throw down the gauntlet to the writers and to JMB & LW, and challenge them to do something fresh with these two ladies! Same with Sonny Corinthos....don't these actors get tired and bored by not being challenged? They are becoming 'production workers' of a sort!

Scrubs somewhat bores me. Funny, I am a HUGE fan of Grey's Anatomy, but the GH Scrubs just does not grab my attention!

Robin needs to stop being such a ridiculous control freak.

And I completely concur on the "improve the dialogue" comment. Diane, Spinelli, Maxie, Alexis, even at times Kate and Jason can be counted on for articulate and thought-provoking conversations. It is a pleasure to have some intellectuals on the canvas who have original and clever thoughts. Please give us more of this! End the redundancies, predictability, unchallenged and recycled chats!

1. Stop the mob obsession and make it about it in the first place: the hospital.

2. Stop making Sonny and Jason as the heroes and the good guys as criminals. You shouldn’t put you moral center on an overblown, overdone hypocrites and making the PCPD dumb idiots.

3. Stop killing off the Quartermaines and legacy characters and replacing them with slimy criminals who nobody cares about.

4. I would replace the mob for a year and have Sonny and Jason out in the mob central involve with legitate business like ELQ and have Tracy and the Quartermaines involve to battle Sonny and Jason over ELQ and have an umbrella s/l instead of the mob bs.

5. Stop making women like dumb broads and have some brains and spunk and intelligence instead of being portray as hoes.

6. Get rid of Guza, Phelps, and Frons and have someone who loves this soap to get it back to some sensible of what GH is about.

7. Hired some vet actors to come back and bring them as what they are, not being portrayed as a joke.

8. Start telling social relevant s/ls like when in the early 90s that was getting critical acclaim and moves the audiences.

9. Bring back some Webber family so Liz can have family without touch by the mob.

10. Backburner Sonny and Jason and bring Jason Quartermaine back to the fold and leave his life of the mob behind forever.

11. Get rid of the Zacrazies and bring back the Quartermaines and Genie Francis or the Cassadines instead of these pointless mob families that no one cares about.

12. Get Carly Jacks brain back and some growth or just killed her off.

13. Listen to the fans instead doing what they want to write.

Start by hiring some new writers that can give us storylines with family gatherings and love in the afternoon to go along with the mob stuff.

We want Monica & Edward to enjoy their grandson/greatgrandson. Why is Liason on stall. Why? What should have been put on stall was the fake Carly pregnancy, The 24hr virus bugg that Jason & Spin had that made absolutely NO SENSE. What was the purpose of these two s/l's? All they did was waste time and film. Why couldn't we have a nicer and more loving scene with Liason on their final goodbye. Why does Liz always have to be the center of everything Lucky and Sam does.. What's up with that.. It's stinks to high heavens. It seems the writers are just throwing stuff together. Nothing is flowing on this show not even the mob stuff. How about some family timessss and love in the afternoon. GH does not have one family on this show what's going on? The viewers want to see more then mob stuff and your PCPD stinks as well. How about firing everybody and making Jason, the head of the police dept. Oh I forgot you can't do that because then the PCPD wouldn't have anybody to arrest. Why is Jason always the #1 suspect? It seems like if your name start's with the letter "J" you most likely to be arrested in Port Charles (Jason, Johnny, Jerry, Jax) Unbelievable. I think GH should seek the advise of some new writers because the ones you have don't have a clue. GH has so many DROPPED s/l's that you could created two long playing movies it ridiclious how you drop s/l's and think the viewers just forget about them. Just to name a few.
Where is Jason & Liz's storyline?
When will Jason learn that Alan left his son his share of ELQ Stock... When?? When will Liz come to her senses that Jake is a powerful Quartermine and a heir. These are Liason Storylines.. Lets' get moving on this stuff.
When will Jason & Liz, Monica and Edward find out that Luke & Tracey forged Alan's will.. Pls don't drop this storyline.

Why hasn't it came out that the supercop LUCKY help his father escaped (why does he always come out looking like the good guy when he's done underhanded stuff too) I don't like how he talks down to the mighty Enforcer and the writers let him get away with that. Jason owes Lucky a beat down for calling him garbage in the courtroom. Come on writers get with it.
And stop with this Lucky & Liz *hit. Where tired of this pairing, no woman in her right mine would continue to talk to her EX who was so verbally abusive to her as Lucky has been to Liz. All I'm asking is that the writers write more REALITY into their storylines. Make it at least seems believable and reasonable. WAke up and look at the Young & Restless and figure out why there keeping the #1 spot on the ratings chart. The Young & the Restless is th e best because they still have their veterans first of all. They have family times, they have LOVE in the afternoon, they don't drag out and drop storylines. They tell the story and stick to the plot so you can easily stay with the story. But not GH you guys are all over the place.
Get Liz & Jason back on our screens their chemistry is amazing, the romance and the love & respect just reaches beyond any story that you writers can put on paper. WE need them to tell their story. They have so much history. Stop making Liz the wimpy nurse when we know she has the guts to be with the enforcer. And stop making the "New MOB Boss & Most Feared Enforcer look like a Chump. Jason has to step up and Claim his SON/FAMILY. Liason can be and should be the next supercouple if the writers find a clue on how to write their story.

What's the hold-up on Jake's paternity? This is a great storyline just waiting to happen. There's plenty of storyline in the outage:

1.Monica - will be shocked and thrilled that she has another grandson which she never thought would happen

2.Edward - his wheels would start turning trying to figure out how to make him a true Quartermaine.

3.Tracy - scared and running to cover her a$$ because she knows that Jason will not be happy when he finds out about Alan's Will.

4.Sonny - depending on how it comes out he will either question Jason's timing or go into protective mode because it wasn't Jason and Elizabeth's decision.

5.Carly - she will be jealous and thrilled she will be buy gifts and Jason type stuff for Jake thinking that Elizabeth surely could surround Jake with those items because Elizabeth doesn't know Jason as well as she does.

6.Spinelli - He might be worried about how this is going to affect his living situation but happy that he has one less secret to keep.

7.Lucky - scared and hurt because he will wonder what type of role, if any, he will play in the boys lives.

8.Sam - annoyed and defensive because she will have virtually no contact with Jake from that point on.

9.Lulu - mixed - she will be happy to no longer have to lie but sad that the truth is out because she no longer can pretend that Jake is related to her by blood

10.Robin - thrilled!!! She will want to be setting up play dates and mommy and me classes to do with Elizabeth. She will be happy that Jason finally has the one thing he always wanted. And she will see this as bonding experience between her, Patrick, Jason and Elizabeth.

11.Patrick - he will have new admiration for Jason and Elizabeth and see that they really do put th eir children first.

12.Nik - I think he will roll his eyes and question the decision to let this information out. Even if someone else does it I think Nik will be mad that Elizabeth didn't come to him to try and cover it up somehow.

13.AZ - thrilled there is a new target that can't defend himself.

14.Trevor - will go to Jason and tell him how Jake will turn out like Johnny.

15.Rick - he will be madder than he!! !!!!!! He will realize that now Jason and Elizabeth will have a stronger bond that he and Elizabeth ever did or will. He will hate Jake/Jason even more for it.

16.Claudia - she will be shockingly protective but also state her disapproval for bringing another innocent life into the business.

One day I could love GH - the next i could hate it with a passion! They need to DEFENITLY Tone down the mob - not give Sonny,Carly,& Jason so much airtime. There are other people in PC! Core families need to be used, The Quartermaines have to all comeback to life, Alan Q dead is awful, that is why i hated the Metro Cort Story, and GH winning best emmy. We need to see more of GENERAL HOSPITAL! The Hospital is not the focal point anymore, the drama that goes inside is not GOOD HOSPITAL DRAMA. Robin & Patrick are such a blessing to this show with out them i would never watch. The hospital needs to get ride of the crappy VIOLENCE inside of it, what happened to telling heart warming storys of real drama that happens inside of a hospital. I think Jax needs to divorce Carly, and Carly should just finally go to one of her mob men, dont care who. I am so sick of Carly, Jax & Kate have such great chemistry, her and Sonny don't work (though many will not agree with me) The REAL thing that has to comeback is LOVE IN THE AFTERNOON to GH, sure we have the great comedic rendezvous of Max & Diane (One of the show's best assets in my mind) but the rest of the relationships just do not flow because the writing for them is awful. GH needs to totally be revamed to be a great show (EVEN MORE THEN GUIDING LIGHT DOES)

First of all stop being so repetitive. How many times did we have to hear the conversation between Robin and Patrick about him not wanting to be a father and how many times did Liz and Jason have to talk about “the danger”. Put Liz and Jason together, and stop screwing with the fans. Listen to the fans also, we are not as dumb as you think. Quit killing off good legacy characters to make room for new, or should I say old new characters like Claudia who fail miserably. Little less mob, more romance in they daytime. A little mob is okay, but must you shove it down our throats day after day? Please stop.
Stop making the female characters into sex crazed sluts with no self esteem. Characters like Diane with spunk, quick wit, and smarts, are much more appealing. You made Lulu a stupid, smart mouth, disrespectful, screeching idiot with no goals in life. Bad move! You killed off Emily and now Nikolas seems to have no direction at all, another bad move. Love Rebecca Herbst, yet she seems to be missing in action.. Bad move! Liked Robin and Patrick at first, you ruined them by having them on everyday, having the same conversation every day.. Robin use to be smart, you made her a whining baby crazy, sperm donor hunting looser. You need new material, new story lines, and more variety. And just FYI, the “who’s the daddy” storylines have been done to death, find something new. . Where are the Q’s at?, bring them back. And most of all, please smarten up the story lines. Yes I know it’s a soap, but killing someone in self defense and then going to all that trouble to cover it up, is just dumb. Jason and Carly making Sonny give up his kids, only to have Carly still sniffing around Jason everyday, is dumb. Wrap up some story lines, develop them, and move them along, instead of just dropping stuff into thin air. Put the Liason fans out of our misery once and for all, and put Elizabeth and Jason together. I quit watching after they got engaged only to break up an hour later and the whole storyline when down the crapper.

Okay - destroy the mob by having Yawny and Spew-Lu inadvertantly start a mob war. Sonny comes out of retirement to handle it and save Jason. Sonny gets married while all of this going on to Kate. Sonny is hurt saving Kate and she has had enough and takes Sonny away. Goodbye Sonny and Kate.

Claudia marries Nik as a MOC but she's really in love with him. Meanwhile Jason is hesitant to make his crew legit. Liz and Sam appeal to him to make it happen and even Carly joins in. Finally Lucky has had enough and threatens Jason with telling him that he'll never raise Jake and Lucky will make sure Jake knows that Jason chose the gun over him. Jason has Diane and Alexis help make his organization legit. Max takes over security over at the Metro Court and Milo joins the police academy with a letter from Lucky and convincing Mac he'll do well.

Dr. Hunter, thinking he'll be busted soon, kills Nadine and Nik freaks out. Claudia does all she can to calm Nik and has to call on Liz, Alexis, Lucky and Sam to help. They all figure it's Dr. Hunter. Claudia and Jason find him and right before they kill him, Lucky shows up with Mac and they want to arrest him. Hunter cuts a deal - he has a cure for Michael and Laura and he'll give it to them for his freedom. Lucky cuts a deal with Claudia and Jason to act like they're with it but as soon as Michael and Laura are okay, they can take him out. Mac finds out about the deal and Lucky holds Mac up enough that Claudia finishes Dr. Hunter. Before he dies, he laughs because the drug has side effects.

Mac fires Lucky and Lucky goes to work with Luke and Sam at the Haunted Star. Jason, Liz, Claudia, Nik, Lucky and Sam are all at the Haunted Star waiting on word from Luke and Carly about their loved ones. They begin to talk and Spin and Maxie show up. Spin reminds Jason about his PI licence. Liz, Sam and Lucky all urge Jason to open up a PI Office. Jason agrees and has Spin as his partner. He asks Lucky to join but Lucky refuses stating he'll help when asked but he likes running the Star with Luke and Sam.

At first Laura and Michael seem fine but it's not to be. Laura shows signs of anger for no reason but Robin works on a cure and helps Laura. Luke doesn't know what to do because he loves both Laura and Tracy. Tracy gives Luke a divorce knowing he couldn't live with himself without Laura. Laura and Luke remarry. At the reception thrown by Claudia and Nik, who shows up but Helena with a surprise for Nik - Em is alive.

Michael's personality is totally changed. He remembers everything but he now blames Carly and Sonny for all their decisions. He likes Jason and Jax but doesn't trust them because of their closeness with Carly. He embraces his Q heritage and wants to live with the Q's. Carly finally agrees because Michael is so unruly. Carly is heartbroken because Morgan wants to go with Michael and Monica and Edward agree to raise them both.

Oh yeah - fire Guza. Get a new head writer that respects the history of the show. I'd end the first year with a Jason and Liz wedding and during the honeymoon, Jason suffers a head injury and reverts back to his former self but remembers everything as Jason Morgan. At the same time, Keesha Ward returns to Port Charles as a wealthy businesswoman and we'd have two major love triangles to start year two - jason/liz/keesha and nik/claudia/emily.

Let the fun begin....

The show should revolve around the Q's. Enough said....

1. Write stories for the Quartermaines and I mean ALL of them, not just Tracy and the hanger-ons (Luke and Lulu). For most of GH's most successful years, the Quartermaines were front and centre in all the action. When the show started flailing around like a limp fish, the Q's were relegated to being set dressing. Coincidence? I don't think so. The Quartermaines were a crucial reason for GH's excellence in the past and they need to be brought to the forefront.

2. Tone down the mob stories and bring back the romance. You can even mix the two if they want but moderation is the key. Whatever happened to the romance? There are very few married couples on the show, very few long time couples, very few couples period. There seem to be many one night stands, rolls in the hay but nothing that could be construed as relationships.

3. Stop bringing back legacy/veteran characters as parodies or as pale shadows of their former selves. What a waste to bring back Robert Scorpio only to have him written as a deadbeat and rather incompetent spy. Anna's seems to be only good as comic relief. There was a time her character was a strong female figure with serious storylines. She had a sense of humour but it wasn't one based on cliche, corn and cheese. Where is the Anna of the 80's? If you're going to sign them, write proper stories for them. There's nothing worse than being promised steak and given bologne instead.

4. Spread wealth around. We don't need to see Jason, Sonny, Kate and Carly 5 days a week or even 4 days a week. GH has a great ensemble cast so use it. The best GH stories involve the majority of the cast in one way or another.

5. Stop writing snippets of scenes instead of longer, involved dialogues. What do I mean? Well, watch GH and you'll notice that if there are 4 different scenes going on (eg. Sonny and Kate, Jason and Spinelli, Lulu and Johnny, Carly and Jax), they all have to have a scene before the commercial breaks. So you have a scene from each between commercial breaks which means the most you'll get from each couple is a 2 or 3 minute snippet of dialogue. It's fragmented and how do you get any interesting, insightful, moving scenes if you're limited to 2 minutes. There was a time when scenes lasted more than 10 minutes alone.... I mean, clipping stuff for YouTube is difficult from this time period because scenes lasted over 10 minutes!! Scripts should be written based on story and character not how long between commercial breaks.

6. Stop killing long time characters and bringing in new characters that we don't care about. And if you want us to care about the new characters, then don't kill them off so quickly. GH brought in Logan who was one of the few new characters associated with a legacy character... only to trash the character and kill him off after a year. They bring in Cooper Barrett who has the last name of family long associated with GH and they do nothing to build on that.. instead, they kill him off too. In one horrible year, they killed Alan, Georgie and Emily... that's a combined 56 years of GH history.

7. Make the good guys the good guys again. Cops = good, mob = bad. It's that simple. Why does the show idolize and hero worship Jason and Sonny? Why are the mob written like the heroes and the cops written like morons? What kind of morality is this? There was a time when the PCPD actually fought against the mob ... and WON! This land of Bizarro justice is just another thing wrong with this show.

8. Restore the strong women characters that have been turned into mush. Alexis is a mess...she's a Cassidine and a Cassidine woman yet she acts like a wilted flower at times of crisis. Monica, another strong woman character, is barely seen these days. The same goes for Bobbie. Sam's finally getting something to do after a while of whining about Jason and Elizabeth, Elizabeth just pines after Jason, Lulu...forget about her, etc. etc. Where are the strong females? Diane is about the only one and she's mostly used as comic relief these days too.

9. Stop hinting at super secret stuff and then dropping it. Kate's secret is...? Logan's secret is ... ? Bleh. Stop calling "wolf"... we've already stopped watching.

10. Return the soap to character driven storylines. If I don't care about the character, I could care less what plot point he's about to achieve. Make the audience care about the characters. Right now they're mostly cardboard or wooden cutouts with characters to match.

The WAY back burner...LOL LOVE IT!!! Although I have to say as HUGE a fan I was of Tams, I love Lauras version of Carly, this however is not based on the current s/l where she has reverted to acting like a child. But in general I LOVE THIS CARLY...LR ROCKS!!
I have to agree with you about Maxie, pairing her with Spin (as friends even) has done wonders for her, she still was sticking it to Lulu until Logans death but she was different. Too bad it took Georgies death as well for us to see that.
That's another thing they need to stop killing our beloved....Alan, Em, Georgie.......I wish it were a Bobby Ewing kinda dream.....anyone old enough to remember this great.........if not, sorry. LOL

the best way to improve "GH" is simple: GET RID OF THE MOB. and refocus the show back onto the core characters and famalies that once made the show fun to watch. Bring back the Hardy family, the jones family, the spencer family, the scorpio family.. let us see characters like lucy, felicia, bobbie, monica and laura as front-burner characters, not as background extras.

get rid of sonny, dump the mob, dump jason, carly, kate and ric and the boring zacahra family.

bring some fun and romance back to GH.

Was there a reason why they named this soap 'General Hospital'? Either get rid of or tone down the mob. Why does Jason and his people allow Claudia in and out of his bachelor pad like she's family? I thought she was part of the ENEMY?!?
Get Jason/Liz back together. I can write the story for you since Guza can't figure it out. If not just bring back Liz in a role that's more than sissy girl.
Why do you waste good talent? Which brings me to "Don't get me started--" Stop Robin and Sonny's whinning, Carly and Jax broken record and for God's sake get Monica out of rehab.

So I know I'm borrowing some but this interview from EW.com with Night Shifts Head writer (Not Guza!) Sri Rao and it sounds like this is the direction gh should be going. Now none of the episodes have aired yet, but it's this type of thinking that has been nonexistant at GH for awhile. Hopefully frons will notice the diffrence in writing between the two shows, and get rid of Guza.

'Bringing Sabato Jr. back to Port Charles, along with Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio), was a top priority for Night Shift's new head writer, Sri Rao, who says he's watched GH since he was eight years old. ''I want fans to know that I'm one of them — totally one of them,'' Rao says. ''I absolutely come from this world — as a viewer. It's the show that I've watched the longest in my entire life.''
Rao's strategy was to bring back legacy characters that would resonate for longtime fans, while writing family-centric storylines that would play for new viewers. The scribe says he's already sketched out the entire season of Shift, and reveals that Sabato Jr.'s Jagger will be struggling with aspects of being a single father to his five-year-old son, Stone, named after Jagger's late brother and Robin's former love. The character's parental issues will also dovetail with those of Robin (Kimberly McCullough), who is dealing with the death of her superspy father, Scorpio, as well as adjusting to domestic life with Patrick (Jason Thomson) as they start a family. Patrick will face his own personal challenges as he takes on the mantle of family man/provider, testing his and Robin's strength as a team. ''I want to push their relationship a little deeper and into a more mature place,'' Rao said.
In addition to some new blood on Night Shift — including a gay character — look for the burgeoning relationship between Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) and Toussant (Billy Dee Williams). ''I wanted to ask, 'What does it mean to fall in love at that point in your life?'" Rao asks. ''It looks different. It might be more about companionship, it might be something deeper than what you were chasing after when you were 25.''
Rao calls writing these stories for the people of Port Charles ''a dream come true. Because it was like, now you get an opportunity to play in this world, and what would you do if you could do anything in Port Charles? That’s an amazingly thrilling opportunity as a viewer.''

2. As much as I've loved the mob storylines in the past, less is more. That is all we see now. There needs to be a balance. Sonny out of the mob is the best thing I've seen lately. Give Claudia something to do other then whore herself or look after her brother. I love Sarah Brown and it just seems like a waste of a good actress. Check into that emotional abuse that's plagued her life. I actually don't mind Jason as the head of the mob, but allow him to interact with the Q's more, which brings me to number 3.

3. Bring back CORE FAMILIES!!! Stop killing off or getting rid of quartermaines, jones/scorpios, spencers, baldwin's (are there any on anymore?) There are so many great characters that could not only be a part of the canvus but can work with all other storylines. Laura-fulltime, Bobbie, Lucas, Leslie, Dillion, Ned, Lois, Brooklyn, Skye, Frisco, Felicia, Serena, Lucy Coe....etc. And when i MEAN BRING THEM BACK I mean NOT THE CLOWN VERSIONS THAT ARE ANNA AND NOAH/ELI-UGH! But at least I'm seeing more depth this time around.

Wouldn't you love to see Frisco and Felicia PI'S team up with Anna and Robert to solve a case/mystery?

4. Can we have an actual teen/young adult storyline that doesn't involve a murder or someone being shot. In the past few years it seems like if they don't know what to do with a younger character that's what happens. Does anyone recall

5. Stop reverting characters to levels beneath them! I'ts not entertaining. No more Carly 2.0!!! I loved lulu when she came on the show. She was a breath of fresh air and the pregnancy storyline was great then she became screamy and whining and although I like laura wright as carly I feel she has reverted a bit lately to the carly of the past and not what Tamara Braun had evolved her too. Can Lulu and Maxie be like a vicki and dorian or nora and lindsey? Can Alexis actually live up to her name of cassadine-strong and perhaps a bit scheming? The alexis we see with Diane and Kate is the one we want all the time.
Now Sam actually has something worthwhile. I think for a while the only character I hated more then her was Courtney(ugh!) Why do women fall apart when they are with Jason? Make Elizabeth a stronger person, play up the single parent thing. Get LIASON together!!!!
SCRUBS has got to stop the dance they do NOW! Get over this parental father thing. It was old weeks ago. Stop making Kate so whishywashy. She's devil wears prada one minute then too sensitve to handle carly the next.

6.Bring back characters like Helena, AJ and Faith who were entertaining and dispicable but weren't too far gone that you could feel for them, well maybe not Helena, but everyone needs a villian. Stop making Jerry/Mr. Craig redemable. He's not. Just make him a villian in fact make him not Jerry Jacks.

7. STOP DROPPING STORYLINES! YOU THINK WE ARE STUPID BUT WE AREN'T.

8.How about the next generation of Q's take over ELQ. Skye would be the perfect person to start that quest, what if the Q's were facing bankruptcy and that would force all of them back together to save their legacy including Jason.

9. KEEP DIANE & MAX, DIANE & Alexis. Pretty much Diane and everything. The dialogue is always great and the actress the same.
Spinelli and Maxie. Ephipany, give her something to do-what was the point of making stan her son just to kill him off. Move Toussaint to daytime. Leyla and Nadine are growing on me. And I loved Kelly and Lainey especially lainey what happened to them. Bring back reginald the butler Make everyone else worth watching! Sometimes I think the nonfront burner characters are more worth watching.

10. Give the pcpd some of their integrity back. As well as the cops having some storyline-Loved Taggert and Gia when they were around.

Make it fun to watch again. I don't want to every have to fast forward through scenes again.

Frist give us back what we loved about Scrubs in the frist place the love and romance and fun and stop making Patrick or Robin the bad guy in there relateship it gets boring .GH needs couples and not one night stands all the time what happened to respecting the person they say they love so much,Jason needs to really step up and claim he`s son Jake and stop fearing what could happened and not do anything.Give the good grils back there strenght .And stop making Carly,Sonnythe heros period and bring back Brooklyn because we need some balance between Lulu and Maxi and Gerogie was that.Lulu and Carly need to really get a life that doesn`t revolve around just Johnny and Jax or man period.Bring back the vets we love and not as clouwns of themself .Give back strong women and I`m not talking about characters like Clauida ,Carly either all of them .We need more Maxi and Robin bonding together and give Patrick a friend he can talk to that`s not working with mob.If Anna scared of being a grandmother why couldn`t it have to do with her Leora death would have made more sense with her and Robin in a storyline . we need love between couples without a thrid party in them and less mob please .

Make Maxie a leading woman so she doesn't need Lulu to be in a storyline. IMO, Maxie reminds me of Carly 1.0 (SJB).

Now some storyline ideas!
Make Lucky and Sam the new Robert and Anna. Get Lucky from being a cop and let him and Sam set up shop as PIs. Also finally get a DNA test for Sam and Alexis that shows Alexis isn't Sam's mother. Sam has a mini breakdown and her and Lucky go out to find her birth mother.

Also bring back another doctor, Sarah Webber. Liz would have more family and Sarah could be the one trying to come between Lucky and Sam. Sarah could be the person who did the DNA test to screw with Sam.

Jason and Liz could finally get some happiness and move into Sonny's old penthouse. Cam could act up since Liz is with Jason and Lucky is busy investigating. Liz also tries to get use to her new life with guards.

A new mob comes into town taking over Anthony Z's terrority. They boss name is Mikey and the second in command (Jason's position) is Zander. It turns out he and Ric stuck a deal that Ric helped him fake his death and leave town if he allows Ric and liz to raise his son. Now he is blackmailing Ric to help him take out all of Port Charles. He arrives in town and sees Liz with the boys and walks up to them scaring Liz. He learns his son is being raised by his enemy Jason and flips out. He vows to get rid of Jason and Sonny. Meanwhile he keeps coming to Liz hoping she will allow him to get to know his son with is tearing Liz apart. She wants Zander to know his son but she also knows Zander is the enemy.

Mac meets a new woman in town named Michelle and they instantly strike up a friendship which in months leads to a relationship. They both love each other though Maxie and Robin doesn't trust her. They try to tell Mac she is holding something back but he doesn't listen, he's in love. The police move in on Zander's and his boss operation and bust them while they are shipping illegal products. While Mac waits at the station, the officers haul in Zander and his boss Mickey, aka Michelle. Mac is floored and hurt. Michelle tries to win him back but he thinks she started a relationship with him so she could use him to get away with her crimes. They both go back and forth wanting to be together but knowing they shouldn't.

Liz's father comes to town after divorcing Liz's mother who has moved on with a new man. Jeff and Monica spend time together babysitting Jake. They start getting romantic and their old feelings for each other resurface. Suddenly Edward sees a tv show and in the background he spots AJ walking past. He gets Ned to help him find out if that was AJ. They travel to a private island and find out it is AJ. AJ explains Lydia found out about his situation and recruited Stephen Webber to get AJ out of Port Charles and ship him here to recouperate. They tell AJ about Michael and he breaks down. They try to convince him to come back but he says he can't then shows them Alan. When AJ heard about Alan, he had Lydia's people get him and bring him back hoping to bring him back to life. When they did, they erased his memory and are working to get it back. After lots of convincing, Aj and Alan head back to PC. Alan arrives just as Rick is asking Moncia to marry him again. Monica is stunned and passes out. She comes to and sees Alan doesn't remember her. So she struggles between her romance with Jeff and the love of her life coming back.

Have the Q's buy Deception. Than have Ned v Jax/Carly with their comestic company. People forget Jax has a comestic company. Dillon could come back as director for their commericals. Maxie could be the new Face of Deception and Brooklynn could come back to do the music and hook up with Spinelli who starts to sing with Brooklyn. Aj also works there and helps sabotage Jax/Carly's business.

Sonny and Kate could be going though troubles because he is too busy for her and she finds comfort in Dillon and they become secret lovers. Dillon is terrified because he doesn't want Sonny to find out and AJ helps him get away with it. Kate becomes pregnant and doesn't want Sonny to know Dillion could be the father. AJ blackmails Kate so she doesn't tell. Dillon wants this baby since he lost his one with Lulu but Kate is torn over Sonny/Dillon/and her career.

Justus sister comes to town as the family's lawyer. She has a horrible drug and alcohol problem. She has lost all her family and her brother is all she had left and now he's dead. Edward brings her in to the family but she can barely function. She passes out at the docks and Nik finds her. he gets her sober and she realizes he was her cousin's love. Nik sees she has a problem and tries to help her but she shuts him down. She gets more and more out of control and Nik tries to keep it quiet so the Q's doesn't know about it. He falls in love with the troubled woman but she doesn't know how to love since everyone she loved, she lost.

I also think the writers have to stop pimping Sonny and Jason as the moral center of the show and everyone around them the bad guys. Stop shoving certain people down our throats just because fan loves them and have a s/l that doesn't involved around the mob. I hope that Tristan Rogers can come back and take the mob down or have Helena come back and show want really evil is. I don't think the Zacrazies and Sonny and Jason would survive Helena's wrath. Have Jax get a backbone and dump his slut of a wife and hook up with Kate. They have great chemistry and let Sonny and Carly destroy each other with their craziness. Bring Edward and Tracy and Monica on the front burner and have them team up to get custody of Michael when he comes out of his coma.

Get some more young romance on the show. GH needs to bring in new young viewers. Kirsten Storms and Jason Cook are a great place to start. They have great onscreen chemistry, and clearly love working together. GH writers need to trust them to make it work - they did it before and can do it again.
Romance is definitely what's missing on this show. Too much mob crap!

First and foremost - stop screwing with what works!!!! Liz and Jason, Carly and Jax and IMO the only thing that matters, Sonny and Kate! Bring back the love to daytime!

Kate legitimizes Sonny in so many ways and at this point to have him go and get involved in yet another relationship would be bordering on prostitution. Megan and Maurice are great together - don't mess with success. Let Sonny and Kate get married and be happy. I think getting him out of the mob was the right decision but certainly there has to be another more exciting line of work than coffee beans. Have him go head to head with Jax or work with Tracey to bring back ELQ! And at the end of the day let him come home to Kate for some bath time fun:) Love the Crimson stuff with Kate and Maxie - keep this up. Love Maxie and Spinelli.

Love the Qs - all for the rebirth of this great family. Let Jason be very involved in this with Jake. And give Liason fans what they want.

If Laura is coming back - then keep her!!! Luke is great with Tracey and if you want to try something new... reunite Laura with Scott.

The quickest and easiest way to improve GH is to get rid of the mob! Mob stories are as boring as this current never-learn, self-obsessed Carly.
Second way to improve GH is to get back to the hospital and those intimately involved with the institution.
Thirdly, respect the history established by 45 years of the show.
Fourth, write for the talent the show already has. An actor's dimples do not merit a front burner storyline that gobbles up the entire show for years on end.
Finally, insist on high caliber writing that challenges said talent to do more than phone in their performances.

General Hospital needs to hit the RESET button to take the show back 20 years before the mob became the moral center of Port Charles. While they are at it, they should remember that dead characters should stay dead.

1. Write the iason story and put them together!!!!!!
2. Stop writing and worriung about characters/actors not on the canvase and start using the amazing cast and characters you have! People are still watching because of them because it certainly isn't the writing!
3. Write for all the character not just a select few. Spead it around!
4. Finish a s/l once in a while!
5. Bring back romance, fmily and the hospital. Oh and make the cops the good guys again.
6. Get into some realistic s/l like deal with Robins HIV and the problems it would cause durning her pregenacy! What happen to Liz money problems being a single Mom would have made them worse not bettter!
7. Show the Q's they had fights, strife, comedy, and love!
8. Feamle friendship and Girls night out! it's fun without detrackting from the rest of the show! Diane and Alexis
9. More Liason, Lusam, Jolu, Scrubs and others
10. Stop killing off good characters! Give them stories and stop throwing new characters at us with no where to go!
LAST: Write a story and finish it! Stop redoing the old story lines. Jolu is great without the need to be Luke and Laura!

Another great storyline that the writers missed..... Bring back Alice along with the Q's. Alice would make a GREAT bodyguard for the Morgan Family Children (Jake & Cam). And you know once Greatgrandpa Edwards finds out about Jake he'll probably have more bodyguards watching him then the mob could count..hehe... Let her show off some of her wrestling moves. The GH writers don't have a clue on how to use the talented actors that they already have on canvas. Bring back the veterans to help make GH worth watchin again.

And for GOD sakes, let Jason get over the guilt of Michael and let him enjoy his family for awhile.

Oh Boy! Were do I start!!!

1. Kill and Bury the mob! I know there are a couple of posters on this board that don't like it when I complain about GH and the mob, but the fact is that the mob thing to way past old, it's dead. More and more people are getting turned off by the whole mob thing on daytime, espeacially GH's mob story. If I want to watch a mob series, I'll watch reruns of The Saprano or the Godfather series. It doesn't belong on daytime anymore.

2. Get rid of the head writer and get someone who isn't so violence orentated and return GH back to what it use to be, a soap about the happening of the hospital and it citizens of Port Chuck, New York. With a "Nurse Amy" or a "Nurse Jessie" type at the desk, poking their noses in others business.

3. Stop treating iconic actors/actress like crap! If you're going to bring Gennie Frances back, bring her back for good and not when ever you want to capitalize on two days for raitings boosters. It's a slap in the face not only to Gennie Frances, but to her loyal fans and to the life long fans of GH.

4. Rewrite some of the wrong and bring back the Q's! The most stupidest thing they ever did was kill off Alan. When the Quartermaines first arrived, they helped boost GH to a whole different level. Alan and Tracey kept us watching GH (Along with Luke & Laura). Making the Q's vanish will only make more and more viewers stop watching. Bring back Ned, Dillion and Brooklyn, get Monica out of rehab, have Tracey and Edward in a heated family storyline and ohh here's an idea! If they can make Jesse on AMC alive again, they can do it to Alan. Let's say that Helana had a secret way to bring Alan back alive and she's holding him and Emily (yes a recast) in her secret chamber somewhere and have Anna and Robert discover them. Anna and Robert work their old fashion magic and resue them, bringing them back to the Q's.

5. The Scorpio's: If you're gonna bring Anna back, have her be her old self. Having her apper every once in a while just to kick Patrick in the gut everytime he opens his mouth is not how the old Anna whould act. The Anna of yesterday had class to herself, how they are writing Anna today, they are making her look like an idiot. Have Anna, Robert, Mac and Robin all go to couseling, because Robin has so many issue's that if she's going to bring a life into the world, she has to have her parents apologize to her for abanding her when she was a kid. They also need to apologize to Mac and to thank him for rasing Robin.

6. Stop making Luke look like a bumbling drunk ass. Wake Laura up out of the frozen veggie case, have her slap some sence into Lulu and beat down Carly for turning Lulu into Carly 2.0. Have Laura and Tracey fight for Luke's heart. Have Bobbie have a storyline of her own and for god sakes, either free the real Jerry Jacks from Helana's other cave or have this Jerry finally run into Bobbie. Have Lucas return and have Bobbie really deal with the fact that her son is gay.

7. Frisco and Felisha needs to resurface and deal with the fact that one of their daughters is dead and the other one is messed up by their absence. They need to own up to the fact that they had two daughters and had another man (Mac) raise them while they were off doing god knows what.

8. Bring back the adventure stories that GH use to have, and not make it about the mob. Have Lucky and Sam help Robert and Anna on an adventure. Spenelli and Maxie can join in also.

9. Have Jason come to accept the fact that he is a Qaurtermaine and have him reconnect with his family. Have him get out of the mob and he get into something that doesn't mean that he has to kill someone.
