The New York Post is reporting former All My Children and Guiding Light actor Nick Santino committed suicide Jan. 24, on his 47th birthday. According to the newspaper, Santino taking his life followed him allegedly being forced to put his dog Rocco to sleep. READ MORE

Soap Opera Digest is reporting Schenk, who acted under the stage name Andrea Moar, drowned while vacationing with her husband in Cancun. The known for her role as Carrie Sanders Tyler on AMC from 1980 to 1983 and as Julia Field on Rituals, was 55.

Apple co-founder Steve Jobs may have lost his fight with cancer, but the mark he left on our lives is indelible. Like Thomas Edison, the Wright Brothers, Walt Disney and other American icons, he will be remembered as one of our greatest innovators.

Sad news from England this morning. Troubled-yet-uber talented British pop singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her North London home, according to the Associated Press. She was 27. No cause of death has been reported at this time. Our hearts and prayers are with Winehouse's friends, family and her legions of fans.
