http://soapoperadigest.com is reporting that Dan Frazier, who played Nancy Hughes' second husband, Lt. Dan McCloskey from 555-5555 passed away on December 16, 2011. No word on the cause of death. My prayers go out to Dan Frazier's family and friends as they mourn the passing of Dan.
I was reading an article on AOL about the Friends Mafia (a group of primetime writers who, after working on Friends, are creating flop after flop after flop), and one of the main points of the article is that this garbage they are calling "Work It" that is being heavily promoted by ABC, is written by them. However, the pertinent element of this to us as soap fans is that quite a few of the articles comments were looking like this:
ABC will be in last place again in the rankings. Daytime has been ruined by the cancellation of All My Children and One Life to Live (with General Hospital supposedly next in line for cancellation), the Chew is horrible and the Katie Couric show doesn't hold much promise either. The only ABC show I watch is General Hospital. I don't even watch ABC News, Good Morning America or any primetime shows due to my displeasure of the cancellation of AMC and OLTL. Maybe the powers that be will realize if you lose your daytime viewers, you will also lose your primetime viewers, too.
Keep it up guys! Someday we will make ABC understand that we cannot be ignored!!!!
Monday ("Another Clue")
John and Marlena's celebration is cut short; Sami's guilt gets the best of her.
Tuesday ("EJ Changes His Mind About John")
Quinn tries to distract Daniel; Jack seizes an opportunity to spend time with Jennifer.
Wednesday ("A Business Opportunity")

Bo and Hope share their pain over missing Zack
Best be a short week.
When I was looking at the Days on 12/13 I was sickened by the fact that John and Marlena had a picnic at the Salem PD. While John is not guilty, what has been going on the last few months show’s that under Abe’s leadership that the Brady’s and anyone who is considered a saint in the town, gets special treatment. I mean would a Dimera be allowed to have a picnic if they were charged with a crime?
If I were Nicole and EJ I would have this released so the public can see what has been going on under Abe’s watch.
One of the biggest problems is the nepotism at the Salem PD. How can anyone get a fair justice when the commissioner is the brother to Bo an officer whose wife is the detective? That’s a conflict of interest right there.
Now coming to think of it if EJ were to win that would be an awesome story with ad’s referring to it as the “dark days of Salem” under Dimera rule. With EJ cracking down on Roman, Bo and Hope.
Come to think of it, it would be so good if someone said (like people do in real life) “If EJ gets elected I’m moving to Canada…”
The Election Day results could be revealed over the TV and all of Abe’s supporters are at the Brady Pub and as EJ is announced the winner everyone has a blank stare as they look at the TV screens while eerie music played in the background. You would have the camera’s pan in on each of them as they were frozen. It would even get worse as EJ made his acceptance speech.
Then image EJ coming to Brady Pub pretending to want to thank Abe for a good run, while gloating. READ MORE
Marcy tweeted this morning with a picture of her script, albeit a very small part of it that says, "Sassy Abby". After a very short maternity leave, she's back at the studio's working! I'm like, geez, she just went on maternity leave!
Okay, so I watched the two episodes (Tuesday and Wednesday of this week) of B&B doing another really good social issue storyline about foster kids who age out of the system. However, when you compare this storyline to the homeless storyline that they did last fall, I just don't see B&B repeating again this year as Outstanding Drama Series when it comes to the Emmys. It was a good storyline, short and sweet but I don't think it was nearly as strong as the homeless storyline that they did last year.
What are your thoughts?!
