Soap fan favorite Sarah Brown will soon make her highly-anticipated Days of Our Lives debut on October 4. In an interview with We Love Soaps she talks about her new character Madison, weighs in on the end of All My Children and previews Madison’s dynamic with Brady (Eric Martsolf).

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: Is there anything you can preview for us about Madison's storyline? I hear there's a little work, and a little play?

Sarah Brown: There's a lot of play! [She laughs] A lot of work... and let's say, in the beginning, the work and play meld together really naturally and perfectly. As time goes on, things begin to get a little more complicated in the working environment because of the attraction between Madison and Brady. At first, it's just something nobody talks about. It then becomes a giant, pink elephant in the room that we have to talk about. And it causes some friction between them...and some good friction.

Access Hollywood caught up with former General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful star Sarah Brown at her new home on Days of Our Lives and asked her about new character Madison James. TVLine caught up with former General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful star Sarah Brown and talked to her about her upcoming role on Days of Our Lives as Madison James.

TVLINE | Days has a bit of a fall “revival” on tap, including the return of Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn (as Marlena and John). How does Sarah Brown fit into it all?

Very happily, I can tell you that! I know they’ve brought back a lot of their most beloved characters from the past, and they’ve brought me in to sort of fill a space of “the new femininity.” The landscape of television is changing to reflect what’s actually going on in the country and in the world, where less and less women are staying at home and more and more women are holding power positions. My character, Madison James, is coming in to represent that.

My favorite tidbit from the interview, that Brown’s will not miss TV shows are HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones.

Good Day LA was on the set of Days of Our Lives to cover the soap opera's big, September festivities and managed to run into a couple of not-so-newbies to the TV game. General Hospital superstar Sarah Brown, who was recently cast in the serial as mogulette Madison James and talk show host Nate Berkus—who is making a cameo—were both on hand, as well as DAYS' leading lady Alison Sweeney, Eric Martsolf and Lauren Koslow.
