Adam/Chelsea: The Newman black sheep learns about Gloworm being torched, and immediately contacts the arsonist he's hired to cover for Sharon. Adam blasts the firebug for what he's done. He's all for Sharon not being charged for the ranch's fire, but not at Chelsea's expense.

Speaking of Chelsea, she grill Adam about the fire at her family's place of business. Adam insists his hands are clean. Chelsea lets it go, but later decides to do some sleuthing on her own.

TV Guide Magazine’s Michael Logan spoke with head writer Josh Griffith and got the skinny on Summer's quest take down Ronan.

Summer is in such a screwed-up state over the divorce of her parents that she misguidedly decides to hurt Ronan by hurting this kid he cares so much about," says the soap's Emmy-winning head writer Josh Griffith. "She uses her phony online persona called 'Brittni' to form a relationship with Jamie and draw information out of him — deeply personal and hurtful stuff about his past troubles with the law — and then she blasts it out to everyone on FacePlace. She'll also be using texting and instant messaging to disparage him further.

Victor tells Nick he thought his son would jump at the chance to be the head honcho at Newman, and is a bit disappointed by his current attitude. Nick wonders why regaining control of the family business is a sign of how much he loves him? Later, Victoria questions Nick on why he's shunning the family. Jack's Power Plays: The grande dame has a chat with Old Smilin' Jack about taking over the Black Knight's company. Kay insists Jack give the company back, but he scoffs at her request. Katherine declares their friendship over because of his actions. Funny, I don't remember Kay ending things with Victor when he snatched her childhood pal John Abbott's business!

Jack is hurt by her actions, considering how far the Abbotts and Chancellors go back. To get Kay's attention back on her own affairs, he offers Neil the CEO slot at Jabot. When Kay can't match the salary Jack offers at Chancellor, she encourages Neil to to run the perfum palace.  

When Billy and Cane learn of Jack's latest move, both men feel stabbed them in the back. Billy is furious at the thought of a non-Abbott running Jabot, while Cane is outraged because he thought he was a lock for the gig. Billy, however does accept Jack's offer to work for Newman, with Victoria's blessing!

Jack tries to woo Abby with a job at Newman, but his niece refuses. Later, Jack offers ex-wife Phyllis a gig. She initially balks, but changes her mind once she learns how Nick is planning to play hardball in their divorce battle.

Adam/Chelsea/Summer: The Newman black sheep and his wife get into a car crash, courtesy of his hot-headed niece. Chelsea is taken to the hospital, where doctors tell her she and her baby are fine. Once Adam gets word his wife and child are okay, he steps away from the hospital for a moment. Nick learns of the accident and accuses Adam of putting Summer and Chelsea in harms way. Adam burst Nick's bubble when he informs him the accident was caused by Summer. Not only that, but Adam is the one who saved his idiot daughter's life! 

Nick thanks Adam for his selfless act and the two find out Summer will be alright. Meanwhile, Chelsea gets devastating news — she has lost her baby boy.
