One Life to Live
If you thought former One Life to Live star Nathan Fillion looked good singing and dancing at the 65th Annual Primetime Emmys, it will equally warm your heart to know the actor is still a fan of soaps!
"It really made me sad to hear that One Life to Live was cancelled again," said Fillion. "I had such an incredible time on that show. It was my very first job. I am very sad that daytime is a dying breed; not just because we are going to be denied that source of entertainment, but because, for actors like myself, anybody who has ever done a soap can tell you it is the most incredible intense work experience you can ever put yourself into.Truly, the only people who don't respect daytime are the people who haven't worked in it. It's incredibly hard work and I learned from the best. I was very well cared for on that show, people who became my friends....I consider them to be the best in the biz." READ MORE

No. 10: Adam and Melanie, The Young and the Restless
Can someone please explain why anyone at The Young and the Restless thought having Adam (Michael Muhney) sleep with a newbie lucky charm like Melanie (Erin Chambers)—who then accused him of rape—would provide riveting television? Anyone? Anyone? We didn't think so.
With TVGN experiencing a ratings boon—in significant part due to re-airings of CBS Daytime's The Young and the Restless—I can't help but wonder if both the cabler and suds lovers alike would benefit from additional soaps finding a nighttime home on the Lionsgate/CBS-owned channel. Below are five sudser I think TVGN should acquire. READ MORE
With One Life to Live "shelved", several of the soap's biggest stars are likely looking for work. While I don't think any of the existing network daytime suds should go on a casting spree akin to Maria Arena Bell flying low over the carcasses of the ABC Daytime version of All My Children a few years back, I do think several suds roles could be smartly filled with OLTL vets. For starters, imagine the hilarious dose of brazen sexuality and bon vivant energy Tuc Watkins would inject into the role of Phillip Chancellor III on The Young and the Restless. READ MORE
