The campiest, kookiest party in soap opera history is under way in the latest episode of Empire. Ponzi schemer Irving Reed (Harlan J. Strauss) has gathered the Havens, Reeds and their various friends and foes for a celebration they won't soon forget, and I can't stop laughing!
Empire truly is delicious, soap spoof fun. Strauss chews so much scenery in this installment, he'd make several former One Life to Live villains bow at his feet. Watch the latest episode of Empire after the jump!

Guiding Light Alum Brittany Snow, Ugly Betty's Michael Urie and More Hit OutFest Red Carpet For Premiere of Family Dramedy 'Petunia'By Jamey Giddens on July 18, 2012
Several daytime and primetime television alums hit the OutFest red carpet last week for the premiere of family dramedy Petunia. On hand were Brittany Snow of Guiding Light, American Dreams and Nip/Tuck fame; Ugly Betty alum Michael Uriel; Christine Lahti (Hawaii Five-0, Chicago Hope, Jack & Bobby) and more.
Petunia, written by Ash Christian (who also directs) and Theresa Bennett, is the comedic saga of the Petunia clan of New York City. Brothers Charlie (Tobias Segal), Adrian (Jimmy Heck) and Michael (American Pie's Eddie Kaye Thomas) struggle to come to grips with their respective love lives, amid all of the psychobabble their analyst parents, Felicia (Lahti) and Percy (All My Children's David Rasche) have filled their heads with for decades.
American Beauty's Thora Birch plays Michael's jaded wife Vivian, whose discovery that she's pregnant throws their relationship off balance. Charlie is dating bisexual George (Urie), who is also banging fitness nut Robin (Snow), as part of a polyamorous relationship. Meanwhile, Adrian is suffering from a sex addiction. This sounds right up a soap fan's alley!
Speaking of soaps, the film also stars one of the hungriest, hardest working, up and coming actors out there, Michael Emery. Emery, who has appeared on Guding Light, As The World Turns, One Life to Live and All My Children, plays Larry in Petunias. "Like" this kid on Facebook. He's going places.
