Join us in celebrating the 5th Annual Daytime Confidential Hot 100. Throughout 2012, Daytime Confidential has been tracking which daytime professionals our readers have been most interested in, whether positive or negative. Each month we published the Daytime Confidential Top 20 based on your clicks of those individuals. Now we’ve compiled the entire year into the Daytime Confidential Hot 100.

In 2012, 38 made their Daytime Confidential Hot 100 debut or returned to the ranking after falling off the list in 2011. The Bold and the Beautiful’s Susan Flannery made the biggest jump in 2012, zooming up 76 spots. However, without All My Children on the air Thorsten Kaye experienced the biggest drop, plummeting 80 spots. Only two out of the 100 people on the Daytime Confidential Hot 100 maintained the exact same ranking in 2012 that they held in 2011.

Unlike Daytime Confidential’s year end Best and Worst lists, the Daytime Confidential Hot 100 is not chosen or ranked by Daytime Confidential’s editors. It is based solely on user clicks. The name of each current and former soap star that appears on the Daytime Confidential Hot 100 is credited to the show on which they last appeared. READ MORE

Former General Hospital star Vanessa Marcil returned  to the Daytime Confidential Top 20 in October, after falling off the countdown in September. Interest in Marcil may have been spurred by headlines surrounding Brian Austin Green’s lawsuit against her being dismissed.

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Ronn Moss slipped two spots from No. 17 to No. 20 on September’s Daytime Confidential Top 20. Though it was announced in August that Moss was leaving B&B, Ridge and Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) wedding—along with various Ridge recast stories—kept Moss in the news. READ MORE
