Days of Our Lives
Will the new digital versions of All My Children and One Life to Live have traditional network soaps running scared? Not according to Sony Pictures Television boss Steve Kent and Days of Our Lives executive producer Greg Meng.
The daytime television movers and shakers were interviewed for a new piece in Variety, along with Prospect Park's Rich Frank. While Kent and Meng seemed supportive of The Online Network's reboots of the classic ABC sudsers, I did detect a bit of healthy, competitive shade-throwing in the article, especially when discussing reports that the new AMC and OLTL will provide racier content. Here's what Frank had to say about the saucy scuttlebutt.
“We are going to be a little hotter and sexier,” Rich says. “That doesn’t mean we’ll be doing anything that’s offensive. We’re trying to be contemporary and have storylines that are relevant to people’s lives.” READ MORE

Seriously? NBC's promo department sure seems to love the snoretastic Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), Daniel (Shawn Christian) and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) triangle on Days of Our Lives. So many good things are happening in Salem, and yet NBC promotes the shows single worst current major storyline.
This week on DAYS, Jennifer tries to push Daniel away because of Chloe's ultimatum. Will he give up on her? We all know he won't, though I dearly wish he would. I'd have no problem if the two rode off into the Salem sunset together. Watch the promo after the jump!
On a scale of delicious awesomeness, this rumor just might be an eight or a nine. According to Radar Online, former Days of Our Lives star and Celebrity Apprentice contestant Lisa Rinna has been approached to join Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Can you imagine Rinna mixing things up with Lisa Vanderpump, my favorite from this last season Yolanda H Foster, the Richards' sisters or Brandi Glanville?
“Lisa would be brought on to the show to stir up sh*t, especially with Brandi and that’s exactly the new life that the show needs!”
Dear soap gods, please call up your reality TV show cousins and help make this happen. Hashtag Amen.
Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) threatened Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) that Daniel (Shawn Christian) would suffer the consequences if she didn't leave him alone. Chloe warned that Daniel could lose his son forever.
The brunette bombshell informed her rival Nancy (Patrika Darbo) had taken Parker out of the country, where Daniel could never find him. Chloe did a video chat to prove to Jennifer that Nancy was in Brazil with Parker. She isn't leaving anything to chance is she?
