Cheers & Jeers
Tom: Yeah. I think I can because you're going to take the rest of the day off. It can be a sick day, personal day, unauthorized leave, nobody loves me today day -- I don't care what you call it, but you're coming with me right now. Come on.
Margo: Oh, okay...What -- wait a minute, where's the rose petals? Where's the candles? Where's -- I mean -- you dragged me out of the station in the middle of a major murder investigation, I thought this was going to be a little afternoon delight or something.
Tom: So, I spring for takeout from al's and that's not romantic anymore?
Margo: I guess at our age it is.
Tom: Well, I thought we could use some overdue family time.
Margo: Yeah, is that what they're calling it now?
Better watch out Craig Montgomery...looks like your days numbered! After Meg confessed to Holden that Paul is the biological father to her unborn baby and also Craig tried to kill the baby by almost drugging her. Things started to spiral out of control at the farm when Craig found her hiding out and had the argument about her chosing Paul over him. Well that's when Craig started to get very intense. Thank heaven Holden was nearby and came to Meg's rescue with a rifle in tow! Just too bad he didn't pull the trigger!
Days Of Our Lives has a bad habit of making the women characters on the show a bit...well shall we say pitiful. Marlena and Belle in particular....ah heck add Sami too. Writers have a bad habit of making these women seem weak, vunerable, and completely dependant on a male counterpart. Or so they think. But with John's 'death' and the birth of 3 great children, the Brady women seem to have finally gotten out of that slump and have started to show some backbone!
Marlena is the head of the group without a doubt as she has taken the victim image and thrown it out the window. Good for her! Since John's "death", Marlena has been a woman on a mission to find John's "killer" and put Stephano behind bars. Now I'm hoping her new found independance and strong willed attitude can rub off on her daughters Belle and Sami more to keep the momentum going. I for one am happy to see these 3 ladies kick some male shovenistic egos around Salem...particularly Stephano's!
The saddest part of the whole story is that Barbara found out her test results at the same time Will & Gwen were having the Christening for their new baby. Both Will and Paul ignored Barbara's pleas on the phone. I started screaming at my TV wanting Paul to go to her right then to give her a big hug and for Will to get his head out of his ass just once! I'd love for this story to become Emmy-worthy for Barbara and not have the writers botch the story by glossing over this very important disease and its consequences.
I'm crossing my fingers that this doesn't spell the end of Barbara Ryan...As The World Turns wouldn't be the same without her!!!
Nora: She's playing you! Oh, never mind. You want to ride to the rescue, that's your business, but don't come crying to me when she stabs you in the back with a pair of scissors!
This is by far the Quote of The Day from One Life To Live as Nora snips at Bo and RJ (Yay to see him back!) as they argue on who'd be better suited to take care of Lindsay. EXCELLENT episode that I accidentally taped instead of ATWT but to my sheer delight, I wasn't disappointed. Lindsay got away with murder because the judge ruled that she was legally criminally insane when she killed Spencer Truman. Nora was beside herself at the judges decision and tried her darnest to convince the judge that she is still a danger to society based on her previous track record. I was torn on this one because I argee with Nora legally but love to death Lindsay at the same time.
However I think the scene stealer of the episode had to go to Addie for her comments blurted out during the hearing!
Runner up Quotes goes to Dorian, Blair & Addie:
Dorian: Men -- they just love a broken woman.
Addie: She's not broken. She's fixed.
Blair: Mama, who do you think she's going to pick?
Addie: I'll never tell. But I know which one I'd choose.
