Bold and Beautiful
No. 10: Room 8, The Bold and the Beautiful
We applaud CBS Daytime's The Bold and the Beautiful for venturing into the world of web serials, but next time can it be an afterhours peek into Brooke's (Katherine Kelly Lang) Bedroom? Room 8 was a lame, dated, vanilla dud — both on TV and on the net.
Guiding Light alums Karla Mosley (Maya) and Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter) were both welcome additions to B&B in 2013, but we'd like to see them in one of the scandalous, raunchy tales B&B is known for, not used as "C" story fluff. Though we did get a hoot out of Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) popping that waterbed! READ MORE
No. 10: Phyllis Helps Jack Detox, The Young and the Restless
We criticized a lot (okay, most) of the stories The Young and the Restless told in 2013, but you can never go wrong by pairing "The Berg" (Peter Bergman) and "The Staff" (Michelle Stafford) in a meaty storyline. Phyllis helping Jack detox from his addictions to booze and pills was the best of Y&R in 2013. The soap smartly played on the complicated histories of the two iconiccharacters, not to mention their powerhouse portrayers.
No. 10: Robert Scott Wilson, All My Children
All My Children's casting department won the showcase showdown when they found The Price is Right model Robert Scott Wilson for the role of Petey, err, Pete Cortlandt. Wilson brought charisma, charm, maturity and one killer bod to the part of Palmer (the late James Mitchell) and Opal's (Jill Larson) son.
Not even Wilson could save Pete's insipid relationship with virginal Celia (Jordan Lane Price) on the internet soap. However, the digital sparks Wilson and fellow outstanding newbie Brooke Newton created when Pete and Colby were sexing up our second screens, had us needing to download an app for cooling down our laptops, tablets and smartphones. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) is ready to stitch a Hester Prynne-inspired line for Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) today on CBS Daytime's The Bold and the Beautiful. After the designer learns of Brooke's relationship with Bill (Don Diamont), he begins raging at the fashion gods. Someone might want to remind Ridge how he climbed into a sleeping Caroline 1.0's (Joanna Johnson) bed and humped her, while she was married to his baby brother!
Over on the Big Island, Liam (Scott Clifton) is busy trying to get Hope (Kim Matula) to come home to the harem. Watch a sneak peek of Monday's B&B after the jump! READ MORE
Will Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Bill's (Don Diamont) wounded exes find comfort in each other's arms in 2014? It sure looks that way, judging from The Bold and the Beautiful's New Year's promo!
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) offers a teary Katie (Heather Tom) his support, as a harrowing 2013 winds to a close in SoCal. Katie's sister Donna (Jennifer Gareis) better watch her back and her front, because Quinn (Rena Sofer) is declaring war!
Meanwhile, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) quite literally wants to "ring" in the New Year with Hope (Kim Matula). How many engagement rings can one girl collect? Watch next week's B&B promo below! READ MORE
