Okay, let's try this again! Apparently there was a slight communication hiccup with the rollout, but I just learned from Procter and Gamble Productions' rep the company has in fact made a deal with a distributor to sell a 4-Disc As The World Turns DVD collection! Twenty episodes from the cancelled CBS soap are being offered up on four discs entitled "Great Weddings," "Secrets and Scandals," "Oakdale Through The Years" and "Villains and Vixens."

This move comes on the heels of news that classic P&G soaps have been licensed to air abroad. To get your copy of the 4-disc As The World Turns DVD collection call 1(800) 998-5199. The website for the venture, www.soapclassics.com, is scheduled to go live sometime tonight!

Former Guiding Light stars Ron Raines and Gina Tognoni (pictured above) reunited at Shubert Alley in New York City for the 25th Annual Broadway Flea Market to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS benefit on September 25. Former As the World Turns star Eileen Fulton, as well as One Life to Lives’ Andrew Trischitta, Sean Ringgold, (pictured above), Kristen Alderson, Nic Robuck and former OLTL star Judith Light also participated in the event. What do you get for helping tank three soap operas in rapid succession? A gig helping finish off a fourth. Soap Opera Network is reporting that former Guiding Light, As The World Turns and All My Children co-head wrier David Kreizman is now writing scripts for General Hospital. I have honestly stopped trying to figure out how the people who run this industry think. Soaps are the only entertainment medium where you're only as good as your last failure.
