Alicia Minshew on The Possible End of AMC's Zendall: "Before There Was Zach, Kendall Was Fine on Her Own"By Jamey Giddens on September 24, 2010
Alicia Minshew addressed fans concerns over long time leading man Thorsten Kaye's status at All My Children in the latest issue of CBS Soaps in Depth.
"Zach and Kendall have been Zach and Kendall for five years so [fans are] used to that, but I sort of have to remind them that before there was Zach, Kendall was fine on her own."
The Vivian Leigh doppelganger went on to gently remind fans of Kendall's past romances with Ryan (Cameron Mathison) and tryst with JR (Jacob Young) in an effort to assure them that their girl would be okay if Kaye opts not to continue appearing on the West Coast-based sudser. Personally, I am just ITCHIN' for AMC to bring back Kendall's gothic, Hungarian first love Anton Marick. Just think of say, Antonio Sabato Jr. or Tom Pelphrey opposite Minshew as Anton, who returns to Pine Valley to reclaim Wildwind and Kendall's wild heart!
Well it looks like someone at ABC Daytime is finally learnin' some horse sense! Soap Opera Digest is reporting Daniel Cosgrove is returning to All My Children as Scott Chandler. I know I recently joked about Cosgrove being bad luck, having been on the last seasons of Beverly Hills, 90210, Guiding Light and As The World Turns, but I was just joshing. He's an amazing actor and will provide Jacob Young with a viable foil. I wonder who they will get to play Marissa? Hmmm....
David Hayward (Vincent Irizarry) may be dead, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still causing problems for Pine Valley’s citizens, especially his widow Greenlee (Rebecca Budig). This week all the evidence points to Greenlee as the investigation into David’s death heats up. However, as Michael Logan points out in an interview with Budig, prime suspects are rarely the guilty party on soaps. Watch this week’s All My Children promo after the jump!
The woman who helped make The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful Appointment TV in the 90's, Kimberlin Brown, has reportedly joined the cast of All My Children! Brown, who proved ratings liquid gold for the Bell sudsers, will allegedly be playing a judge for a "juicy" upcoming storyline. The soap superstar revealed the news on Olivia Wilder's show for Blog Talk Radio. Can I just say I am TOO excited?!
Here’s the Scoop!
Lots of JR, Marissa, Annie and Scott coming up… Lord help us! Sorry, I dread any time when Marissa graces the screen. Scott I can handle – Marissa, not so much, probably because the character bores me to death. If it wasn’t for Annie and JR, I would have no use for this storyline at all. Apparently though, the writers are all over this one. JR and Marissa have AJ to fight over. JR has Scott to take down. Asher is JR’s little errand boy when it comes to getting the goods on Caleb. Annie is the driving force behind Scott. My question is when are we going to get back to JR and Annie? I know, I declared I didn’t mind Annie and Scott, and I still don’t, but they are the only thing that really keeps this interesting. READ MORE
