All My Children Spoilers
If this All My Children promo is accurate–and we know how misleading ABC’s promos can be–it looks as if the writers at AMC have decided to blame David Hayward (Vincent Irizarry) for his own murder. Seriously?
Why is it that “Who Done It?” storylines on soaps are becoming more and more lame as writers refuse to pin the murder of a popular character on a remaining resident? Almost everyone in Pine Valley had a reason for killing David and instead of say Erica (Susan Lucci), Tad (Michael E. Knight), Ryan (Cameron Mathison), Madison (Stephanie Gatschet), Amanda (Chrishell Stause) or David's own wife Greenlee (Rebecca Budig) being responsible for his death, they're alluding it was David himself?
I wouldn’t even have had a problem with finding out that Zach (Thorsten Kaye) secretly returned to town to murder David. That would be a better twist than David framing himself. All My Children’s writing may have improved, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t lazy. Watch this week’s AMC promo after the jump.
It’s a spooktacular week on All My Children as shocking things are uncovered. Caleb (Michael Nouri) finds out a secret connection. JR (Jacob Young) and Annie (Melissa Claire Egan) get it on. Ryan (Cameron Mathison) takes the stand at Greenlee’s (Rebecca Budig) trial and Zach (Thorsten Kaye) reveals a new threat to his family. Watch this week’s AMC promo after the jump!
Here’s the Scoop!
What I like to call naptime, you like to call All My Children. There was a brief moment in time when I loved AMC; this trial however, has me pitching my bottle of Ambien. Supposedly, the end of the court caper has all these “twists and turns.” It better! After sitting through this, I expect a good payoff.
Did I miss something? Was Nick Pearson the big, bad secret witness? If so, that was so not worthy of a promo. Sorry Jackson, your witness for the defense is unraveled in a bottle of scotch, courtesy of Liza. She gets Nick to admit he has it out for Ryan, who once had him fired from his job. Back on the stand, Nick’s previous testimony does nothing to take the heat off of Greens. READ MORE
Wouldn’t it be great if All My Children’s surprise witnesses were actually shockers? Imagine the court room doors opening and Josh Duhamel walking in as Leo. Or what if Dimitri Marick (Michael Nader) strode into the room? Neither will happen this week, but if they did, I’d have newfound respect for the folks at AMC and their ability to pull off such a "surprise". Watch this week’s AMC promo after the jump! READ MORE
If this week’s All My Children promo is accurate, then it won’t be a question of who shot JR (Jacob Young), but if Scott (Adam Mayfield) actually has the stones to pull the trigger. At this point I don’t care, as long as I get more of JR and Annie (Melissa Claire Egan). Meanwhile, wake me up when Greenlee’s (Rebecca Budig) trial is over. Yawn! Madison (Stephanie Gatschet) isn’t going to let Greenlee (Rebecca Budig) get between her and her man! This week on All My Children, Madison tries to undermine Greenlee’s innocence to the authorities. I wonder how long it will be before Madison goes totally psycho on Greenlee's ass? Watch the promo after the jump!
