Would You Watch a Kate Gosselin Talk Show?

What hath The View wrought? Kate Gosselin is "gunning" for her own "ladies-only chatfest," according to E! Online. Apparently Telepictures, the company behind the popular Ellen DeGeneres and Tyra Banks talk shows, wants to "develop a View-like morning show with Gosselin and television cooking queen Paula Deen."

Gosselin is one of the guest co-hosts The View lined up to fill in for Elisabeth Hasselbeck while she is on maternity leave. During Gosselin's episodes, which aired earlier this week, she discussed how she had to provide for her eight children. This would certainly be one way to do that.

Would you watch a Kate Gosselin talk show?

Only if it was like The View and had good co-hosts.

I'd watch a Paula Deen chat fest, but not one with Gosselin.

I'm going to get Killed for this...KILLED, but I started watching J+K+8 in season 2 and have caught every episode....There was SOMETHING about Kate that pulled me in...Dare I say I envied the way she ran her house...No matter what we all think now, she's got beautiful kids, who in the face of things seem happy and adjusted.

I am on "Team Kate" as I can't help but Point Out that there was no Drama, Paparazzi, Tabloids surrounding this family until JON started behaving the way he has. It's actually sickening...If MY FATHER ever stated that he loved his new girlfriend of three months more than he ever loved his wife of a decade/mother of his children? I'd never look at him the same way again. So I say thank god the kids have Kate.

Would I watch her show?? I dunno...I work all day so I guess not!! Smile

I have seen enough Gosselins to last me a lifetime. I feel for her since her soon to be ex is quite possibly the world's biggest tool but no thanks.

Kate is a loud controlling shrew and Jon needs to grow a pair and act like an adult. I'm Team Cara, Madelyn, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel. They both wouldn't be tabloid fodder or on television without those eight children. And if I was married to someone who constantly talked to me like a child and needed to have endless control of everything I'd probably fall in love with a ten year-old who seems a little lose with her morals and doesn't show affection by growling like a hungry bear too.

I'd watch it only if Kate was actually Kathy Griffin as Kate

While I appreciate that she is not involving herself in any muckraking or name calling in public with Jon, I find her personality charmless. You never see her smile, or if she does it comes off as phony and forced. She also seemed stiff and uncomfortable on "The View." I think she could get over being stiff and uncomfortable with some time and experience, but I don't think you can "gain" charm; you are either born with it or you are not. For those reasons I think she would make a lousy talk show host.

Hell No, LOL. But if the kids are out of the limelight and just her being in the spotlight like she is, I say go for it. I feel bad for the kids that don't want to be film and the parents like the attention, so give her a show.

Sometimes I wonder why no one remembers that she's been doing her fair share of mudslinging this summer. While she hasn't been as harsh as Jon was recently, she's been on the cover of People about every other week this summer with a new interview about how she's the victim and how she is staying strong. I'm a little tired of her playing that card when it's clear from her show that she had the balls in that relationship.

As to her television prospects, I usually never turn off an episode of The View based on hot topics, except for an occasional pre-recorded day - but I had to stop those episodes earlier this week. She gave nothing to the table, except when it came to talking about Jon and the kids. And even then, she was not a good story teller.

I will watch tomorrow though, to see her against Kathy Griffin. (PS buy Kathy's book. It's great!)

I voted for the last one. I love Paula Dean but wouldn't watch if Kate were on.
