Watching the 1999 AND the 1995 Nurse's Ball clip just brought back memories of how GREAT TFGH USED to be. Yes, the residents of Port Charles had major problems, crisis and situations, but they were a COMMUNITY of residents who LOVED their town and from time to time VALUED their friendships, families and connections with one othter.
TFGH of today is completely different from what I remember from the 90's and it's only been 10 years.
Ugh.

Why did you have to show this??? it's like a strange form of punishment!!!!! I used to watch with excitment every year for the Ball!!! these were great and now I watch mostly out of habbit! what happened to GH??? I used to like the mob but it's just too much these days!

Look me in the eye and tell me this is -not- GH the way it's SUPPOSED to be!! Seeing all those A list GH cast members back when GH was relevant is just a kick in the teeth to the crap we are fed today!

Hmm, there's no who cares category. So what that GH never called her back. It's not a rule that when your show is canceled (thank god) that you have to go back to the mother ship. Of course GH did call her, for Lila's funeral, so that's not the whole truth from her. They never called her to come back full time, but they called her at least once, cause she was there at Lila's funeral.

Acyually Ladyofthelake it was in their (Lynn Herring, Jon Lindstrom, Kin Shriner)original deals that if PC got canned they would go back to GH.
Now I know those deals expired and PC lasted three more years BUT Lucy and Kevin were pivitol GH Characters and Scott was on Gh at the tiime so they could have found story for them.
In fact Guza told them to figure a way to bring the PC roles in and they fought about and instead came to a compromise to bring in some PC actors as new characters like Kelly Monaco's Sam.

appleridge, I know Jon Lindstrom was leaving PC anyway, then it got the ax. He was so done with the show, who could blame him after what they did to the character of Kevin just to pimp Thorsten Kaye's Ian. Kin Shriner was right to jump ship when he did. Still the deals expired after two years, so GH really didn't have to bring them back if they didn't want to. They were free agents by that point. Somebody higher up then Guza didn't want them back. I know Guza and the former EP Wendy Riche loved Lucy and Kevin. But that contract stipluation was over, so really if GH didn't want them back, they weren't forced to bring them back. Wether fans wanted them to or not.
