General Hospital's Patrick (Jason Thompson) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) have been spending a lot of time together lately and I can't help but wonder if there isn't a bit of screen testing going on by TPTB. People who read Daytime Confidential know that most of us who blog here are Liason fans, but considering Frons allegedly put the kibosh on the popular couple I started to think about what options there were to keep Herbst written into the show. A romantic pairing with Patrick was the first possibility that came to mind and after talking about it with Regan - who alluded to the possibility in her General Hospital Spoilers a few days back - I thought I'd put it up as a poll.
Imagine Elizabeth versus Robin (Kimberly McCullough). It wouldn't be as slaptastic as Elizabeth versus Sam (Kelly Monaco), but it could be a great telling of Good Girls Gone Wild.

Let me guess EET - you are rooting for at ONS for Liz and Patrick to add more fuel to your hatred of Liz and BH? Well no thank you. I don't need to see Liz villianized like this. She wouldn't sleep with a married man, especially one who is married to one of her close friends.
I really like Liz/Patrick scenes but as friends - like how I like scenes between Alexis/Jax. Under other circumstances I could one day see a pairing between these two but not while Scrubs is married. The stuff they were hinting at in early 2006 before they went back to Liason did interest me but they went with the better chemistry factor and chose to go with Liason. It would make me sick to watch the writers go there with Liz's character at this point, and Patrick as well.

I get where you're coming from McD720! I just got done posting on a thread where I was arguing that Sam had been villianized and was written out of character. So believe me, I understand what you're saying, lol!
I voted for Liz vs. Robin... why not? At least it'll be something different. I don't know if TPTB will actually do it, but they have been doing a lot of Liz/Patrick chem testing.

Daisy - I know about her hooking up with Zander but Emily had already dumped him and Emily was off getting it on with Nikolas(yuck, couldn't stand NEM). And yes Zander had just caught NEM together. So I don't really think that is the same thing. It is a valid point to bring up and after I posted I did remember about Zander but it was different circumstances. Liz wouldn't have gone there with him if Emily and him were trying to work things out. Emily had made her choice at that point and it was obvious to all parties that it was Nikolas.

I am against a Patrick/Liz pairing even though I know its the only way BH will actually get screen time. It would make absolutely no sense for them to get together, which probably means that it will happen.
If KMC were to leave than I would be okay with it, if they took their time. Of all the other actresses we have scene JT tested with during those few "special episodes", Patrick did not have chemistry with Carly or any other character they showed him with except for Liz, in my opinion.
Scrubs have had so much drama and still do that adding on a triangle is overload.

Jamey, I think the issue that people have with Liz is that she never admits that what she has done is wrong.
Whether or not Emily had just broken up with Zander, Liz should not have slept with her friend's husband. Whether or not she caught Lucky with Maxie, she should not have immediately went to Jason (who was in love with Sam at the time). She should have went to grandma's house and cried it out.
She is not doing ONSs with some random fellow she met at work or at a bar. She is sleeping with people that she knows are involved emotionally with others. Just because she gets knocked up each time doesn't make it ok.
Hell, when Elizabeth came to town she kept going after Lucky (even though she knew he liked her sister).

Emily was cheating on Zander when he and Liz hooked up. Jason had broken up with Spam, who at the time that Liz went to Jason, was screwing her own mother's husband. No Daisy Clover, I most assuredly don't want Liz paired with Patrick. It would be soap opera suicide for the character to come between Scrubs when Robin is suffering from, well, whatever she's supposed to be suffering from, and I think TIIC know this. LMAO Liz is not a needy strumpet! She went YEARS without a man, when was the last time Spam let her nether regions cool down for a spell? Liz has a job and takes care of herself. She didn't use her poor, special brother as an excuse to pull off shameful cons because she was too lazy and shiftless to get a job, that was Sam. Sam exists for Jason. She was tossed to him like a pregnant rag doll and she hung on for dear life! He felt sorry for her, then grow to care about her—if you feed a stray long enough it will start to feel like your own—then when he was done with her she fair lost her mind and started terrorizing innocent women and children! Spam is an emotionally unstable, wretch who lives and dies for one man, who was never all that into her. I didn't like Jason and Courtney either, but I do believe he loved her with his whole heart, just like Robin and just like Liz. Spam and Carly he simply felt sorry for.

Do you honestly think if Frons wasn't pushing so hard for JaSam, that Jason, would willing go back to Sam? No!
