I'm having an extremely hard time deciding who to choose as my Performer of the Week when we record the episode this weekend so I hoped you all could help me decide. Of course enjoyment of an actor's performances is subjective, but so far I have it narrowed down to Billy Miller and the dynamic duo of Tuc Watkins and Robin Strasser.
Tuc Watkins & Robin Strasser: Last night I was watching the Wednesday episode of One Life to Live and the scenes where David (Tuc Watkins) and Dorian (Robin Strasser) sweep into the Buchanan mansion and throw out the rest of the famiglia had me rolling with laughter. From David's scenes of confronting Renee to Dorian playing protective Pitbull of her husband, telling Nora to brush up on her legalese and then telling him they better make sure the departing Buchanan's didn't steal anything it was the perfect way to end a stressful day with a laugh.
Billy Miller: What Tuc Watkins and Robin Strasser did with humor on One Life to Live Billy Miller did with drama on The Young and the Restless. Watching him as Billy Abbott delivered his child and then fight his inner demons at the bar with Jack (Peter Bergman) over whether or not he is a good enough man to be a father was absolutely gripping. Every time I see Miller kicking it out of the park I want to kick All My Children for letting a rising star like him go.
Who should I choose as my Performer of the Week?

Between those 2 choices - no brainer. It is Billy Miller. I have really enjoyed Tuc and Robin this week but Billy simply blew me these past few days.
Yesterday he was phenomenal. It was a perfect combination of drama and comedy. All the emotions he is wrestling with along with the comedy of his drunkeness. That line he delivered when Jimmy the Bartender brought him another shot and Jack took it away was priceless. His voice actually cracked!
I think all the stuff surrounding Baby Cordelia, the stuff with Jack and then the stuff coming with Sharon - it will be a banner week for Billy Miller.

I cannot believe you are mulling or pondering on this...no question about it, it is GL's Justin Deas hands down.
In fact he's not the performer of the week but he's the performer of the month or first half of 2009!

I agree with the others as well. Justin Deas is a fantastic choice also but that is only based on what I have heard about him this week. I have not watched it. I am not a big GL fan anymore (lost interest in 2007) but Justin Deas is such a fabulous actor.
I need to get to CBS.com to see his performance this week.

Message to McD720: If it was only between the two, yes I agree with you on Y&R's Billy Miller. Great showcase from him of the week but it's Justin Deas.

I think I have to go with Justin Deas as well lol, I am still not sure who my POW is, but at the moment and out of the US shows I have to say Justin Deas gets it, he knocked it out of the park. This was the first time i have actually seen Buzz in a real dramatic role and he showed me what a amazing actor he can be given the right material.

Billy Miller, Sharon Case, Lesley-Anne Down or Justin Deas.
I would probably go with Miller or Case. They just doing a great work.
But LAD as Jackie who tells Katie what she thinks about her was also great. And to do a performance like this on B&B these days ... you know it has to take KKLs tears to do that.

if it has to be one of those two, then i choose billy miller. but why no justin deas?!?!?! i know you're not a big cooper fan, luke, and maybe he's been getting a little over the top, but what are you supposed to do when your son is dying? deas' performance was heart-wrenching this week. just awesome.

See I don't think he is really going over the top, I mean I think the actor who plays Tony Holden on Home and Away went slightly over the top when he found Jack's body (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3v7B5oz2z7w JACKIE! Jack Jack, Come on mate, Jack, Jackie, no, come on, noooooo JACKKKKKKKKKKKKKK) but i think that is the way they wanted it and it kinda fit.
JD reacted the way i expect any father who loves their son would react.

Ahhh I am totally in love with Billy Miller right now lol. He completely pulled me in every single day this week. But so did Justin Deas. He was amazing in each scene. This is a tough one-they were both sooo spectactular.

I love both Billy Miller and Tuc Watkins, but they should both be in your honorable mentions. Justin Deas is no doubt the performer of the week.
I have two other honorable mentions as well: Eden Reigel and Tamara Braun. While the storyline is terrible, they were absolutely phenomenal on Weds. show! They have been able to turn crap into gold!

Justin Deas....how could there even be anyone else to consider with his performance on GL this week! The man totally hit it out of the park!
Honorable mentions to Fiona Hutchinson's "Because he's your son"....Grant Aleksander for just about everything....Beth Chamberlain for every freakin' emotion on the chart....John Driscoll was amazing as well, some of the best acting he's done on the show!
On second thought why not just give Performer of the Week to the GL cast this week...they all did wonderful jobs!

Out of those choices I'd go with David and Dorian because Tuc and Robin had me lmao - but I'm going to have to agree with the others and say Justin Deas hands down!!!! He's been fracking amazing this week and just keeps breaking my heart!!!

Billy Miller played the best little drunk friend role I've seen on TV in a long, long time, with Sharon Case hot on the heels. They are the walking wounded this week and, while it remains to be seen how costly this little rendezous will turn out to be, at that moment they were right where they needed to be. Well played.

I can't believe Daniel Goddard didn't make this list. I hated Cane this week, but Daniel Goddard...OMG! Billy Miller was fine this week, and his drunk scene was pretty amazing, but Daniel, emoted perfectly in everything he did. Hate Cane right now, love DG!

Okay, I'm watching this week's eps of AMC and I've got a runner up for you. If not Justin Deas (who *really* deserves it) then I say Tamara Braun (Reese, AMC). The Bianca/Reese/Zack/Kendall storyline is a total mess. Reese is one dimensional, the story is ridiculous, the dialogue is (for the most part) awful, but Tamara Braun really sells it. She makes me care, even when I know I shouldn't, lol.
I'm watching her scenes with ER right now and all I can say is that TPTB need to thank the Soap Gods that they got TB for the part, because I seriously doubt any other actress could have made me sympathetic to a character who's such a flake and a cheater...and there's something to be said for that, lol
