Former General Hospital leading man Steve Burton will appear on CBS Daytime's The Talk today at 2 pm EST, reportedly making a "big announcement". I've been wracking my brain like all weekend, as to what Burton could be revealing.
Could it be that he's starting a new repertory theatre in Nashville—where all the actors wear black tees—along with James Franco, Scott Reeves and Jill Farren Phelps? Perhaps, Port Chuck has inked a deal to open for Justin Bieber? Seriously, I am drawing a major BLANK!

That today two embryos will be implanted in JFP, one from an egg of hers fertilized by Steve himself, the other from JFP's egg fertilized by Franco. After the child or children are born him and Franco will marry in the state of New York and move there with their baby(ies)

He's playing Avery's ex Dylan, blue collar construction owner after his dad gets hurt, Dylan takes over the business and comes to find "his lady love" Avery....
It didn't sound anything like his past character. He's bulked up again and looks fitter because the men of Y&R are well built.

Well, he got the best of both worlds. His family is still located in Nashville (so he did indeed move there to get his family out of LA.....so GH fans need to quit bashing him about that part) and he will be commuting back and forth. CBS Daytime made that deal with him via his manager.
He definitely looks totally different than in the many pictures I've seen him in. He really looks like he's relaxed and rejuvenated after 21 years of playing the same character over and over.
So, yes, he will be on Y&R and he will be playing the role that we all pretty much knew he would be playing. Dylan Macavoy, which just happens to be Avery's ex-husband.
He starts taping tomorrow and he will first appear on screen on January 29th, which is a Tuesday.

I will give it about two weeks before Syphallus Newman starts seducing him and jumps his bones in an attempt to get revenge on Avery. But I do think Michelle Stafford and Steve Burton will have good chemistry because Steve seems to do his best work against fiery female leads like Sarah Brown and Tamara Braun.
Just keep him away from Lily or Sharon.
