Betty White fans across the internet are campaigning to have the TV legend, comedic actress and Super Bowl ad star host NBC's Saturday Night Live. However according to People, White isn't sure it would ever happen.
"I don't even know where that came from," the 88-year-old Mary Tyler Moore Show and Golden Girls Emmy winner tells PEOPLE about the online movement to have her host SNL. "That just came out of left field. It's ridiculous. I don't think [SNL creator and producer] Lorne Michaels even knows about it, so we won't worry about it."Still, should Michaels phone her, she'll take it – both the call and the offer to host the 35-year-old NBC staple, provided her demanding schedule will allow.

Loving the Betty White Resurgence lately. No one (in mainstream media) will acknowledge her B&B stint (I've read a few articles lately, and it goes from the Sandra B. Movie to the Super Bowl ADS, completely leapfrogging Anne Douglas. But the Daytime Fans aren't dumb...Fans loved her in mid afternoon....)
Picture it. Betty White with Lady Gaga as Muscical Guest. Someone like that would be great....
One last thing - Betty White doesn't "NEED" SNL. They need HER! The show, how it continues some years, I'll never know....

Look Ms. White (Betty) is a national treasure. She is our Golden Girl. I miss Bea Arthur and have loved her since she first appeared on All In the Family and then got her own show - Maude. I cried so hard at her passing. I understand Rue McClanahan is facing some health challenges. Then there's Estelle Getty - I also cried so hard at her passing. Betty is our last active Golden Girl. I just love her dearly. She turned in a tour de force performance on B&B. I would watch just about any show that has Betty White. She is a jewel.

If she can do raunchy humor, and appeal to men ages 18-49, then she could be successful....
However, I don't know, it would be kinda' icky to have to hear a senior citizen that I have known for YEARS for playing nice, sweet old ladies on televison suddenly spouting out fart jokes, cussing like a sailor or telling sexual jokes......
It's kinda' like walking in on your grandma having sex....it can leave a bad taste in your mouth!!!
With that being said, she is funnier than Jimmy Fallon and many of the other people passing themselves off as "comedians" nowadays......

I considered joining the Facebook group, but Betty White is too good for SNL as it is right now (train wreck). She's at the age when any job could be her last. I wouldn't want it to be doing the substandard material SNL is churning out this season.
