Hart of Dixie Showrunner: "We Knew That We Had a Star When We Cast Wilson Bethel as Wade"
By Jamey Giddens on January 17, 2012
Hart of Dxie's showrunners knew they had a good thing (Not to mention a hot one!) when they saw one, which is why The CW fish-out-of-water sudser cast The Young and the Restless scene stealer Wilson Bethel to play randy, good ol' boy Wade.
Fans of the series know Wade has done more to raise Dr. Zoey Hart's (Rachel Bilson) temp than any Southern heat wave ever could this season, which has viewers split on who Zoey should end up with — rowdy Wade or kind-hearted lawyer George (Scott Porter)? Here's what executive producer Leila Gerstein shared with our pals at Zap2it about the Wade/Zoey/George triangle reaching a fever pitch in the coming weeks:
"We knew that we had a star when we cast Wilson Bethel as Wade," she teases, adding that in the second half of the season they'll be amping up the love triangle big time. "I think that the love triangles and the shifting focus as to who we want her to be with is what's going to keep the show interesting." READ MORE

By Jamey Giddens on March 08, 2011
It looks like The Young and the Restless lovers aren't losing Ryder just yet. Wilson Bethel, who has booked a lead role in The CW's Hart of Dixie pilot opposite The O.C.'s Rachel Bilson, tells Soaps in Depth he's going on location to film the pilot in April, during which time Y&R will pre-tape his scenes. I don't know about y'all, but I cannot wait for this show. My Summer Roberts from Newport Beach playing a doctor, complete with uber talented, young Brad Pitt-lookalike Bethel getting horizontal with her? Sign me up, CW. Sign me up!

Holy Hot Yes! Is Y&R Bringing Back Wilson Bethel?
By Jamey Giddens on February 10, 2011
Okay, if this is true, we are so laying off Maria Arena Bell! CBS Soaps in Depth is hearing Wilson Bethel may be returning as the only thing good about the Great Doppelganger Caper of 2010, Kevin's (Greg Rikaart) dirty, sexy, intense half brother Ryder on The Young and the Restless. Bethel brought the heat to Genoa City from episode 1. Here's hoping Y&R finds a red-hot storyline for Ryder that doesn't involve his drippy sister.
