Get ready for Celie and Sofia to reunite, Oprah-style! The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg will make an apperance on The Mighty O's couch to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Color Purple being released in theaters. Both Goldberg and Winfrey nabbed their first Academy-Award nominations for the film (neither won). Goldberg will make her way to Winfrey's show on Nov. 15.
The ladies of The View went to the mat when Fox News pundit Bill O'Reilly stopped by today. The show's co-hosts, Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, got into a heated debate with O'Reilly over whether or not Park51, the Muslim community center and mosque slated to go up two blocks from the World Trade Center, should be built. O'Reilly declared the center is "inappropriate" because of the victims' families, while Goldberg, Behar and Barbara Walters cried foul. Things took a nasty turn when the ladies asked O'Reilly why he believed it shouldn't be built to which he stated:
Because Muslims killed us on 9/11.
It seems like ABC's making a bit of a peace offering to Adam Lambert. The controversial rocker is slated to make his first guest appearance on The View. This comes on the heels of the singer's much talked about performance on the America Music Awards and after Lambert was dropped from ABC's Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve show.
Lambert's appearance on the gab fest is slated on Dec. 10 right after his interview on Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009 on Dec. 9 at 10pm EST.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Khloe Kardashian heads to The View on Friday for her co-hosting debut. This comes on the heels of the reality tv star's marriage to L.A. Laker star Lamar Odom on Sept. 27. Known as the "tough Kardashian," Khloe will have to put up or shut up with the no-nonsense chicas on the ABC chat-fest.
