She's traversed the globe, booking exclusive interviews with dictators, Oscar winners and... Honey Boo Boo. Now Barbara Walters is dealing with one "get" she likely would have been glad to cede over to one of her competitors. Today on The View, moderator Whoopi Goldberg revealed Walters has been suffering from the chicken pox. Said Goldberg:
You all know that she fell and cut her head 10 days ago, and then was running a temperature," says Goldberg. "But it turns out it is all the result of a delayed childhood. Barbara has the chicken pox. She never had it as a child. So now she's been told to rest, she's not allowed any visitors."
The ladies of The View had some really Hot Topics to dish about last week! From women being allowed on the frontlines during combat situations, to Hillary Clinton's Benghazi testimony, Whoopi and Co. had plenty to get fired up about, while an ailing Babs was out on medical leave. Watch a few clips below! READ MORE
The View co-hosts are fighting mad over Instagram's attempt to change their policy to allow the picture sharing application to sell users' personal photos. While the social networking company has since dropped their plans—due to fierce backlash—it's still fun to watch Whoopi Goldberg and Co. get all fired up on this past Wednesday's show over the thought of someone profiting over their snapshots. Watch the ruckus after the jump!
Was it something they said? Barbara Walters announced today Republican Presidential nominee and former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney's Thursday appearance on The View was cancelled. The veteran television journalist said Romney's wife Ann would appear as scheduled. Walters stated:
Gov. Romney was supposed to be on with us this Thursday with Ann Romney. We were looking forward to it. Over the weekend, his people said that he had scheduling problems and would not be coming on with us. Nor at this point did he feel that he could reschedule. We are happy to have Mrs. Romney on with us. We are sorry that we won't have Governor Romney and that's the situation...He can change his mind and we hope he does. It would be our pleasure to have him on the program.
Last month, Romney's campaign spokesperson announced he would appear on the talk show after a secret video recording surfaced of his remarks he made during a fundraising event about the show. Romney stated:
When Clueless and Single Ladies alum Stacey Dash tweeted support for Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Twitter and the rest of the Internet erupted in bitter debate. Some fans of the star were outraged that a black actress is supporting a Republican, as opposed to President Barack Obama, a Democrat.
Others applauded Dash for her courage in speaking out for what she believes in. Of course the women of The View had to give their five cents on the controversial topic. Check out what they had to say after the jump!
