"Yes," Irizarry confirms exclusively to In Depth, "Avalon and I have been separated for the better part of this year and are in the process of going through a divorce. Our separation has been amicable as we continue to be friends. Our greatest priority will never cease to be the well-being of our two amazing children whom we love beyond words as parents."
TV Guide Magazine: So Greenlee becomes the prime suspect? That's a good sign. Prime suspects are never guilty on soaps.
Budig: She kinda did it to herself. She writes the [suicide] letters and forges David's signature, but that's not all that's pointing to her guilt. Greenlee thinks Ryan [Cameron Mathison] did it because she found a vial of the poison that killed David in Ryan's jacket, but instead of destroying it she leaves it in her glove compartment. How dumb is that? So she gets caught and now people think she killed David. I'm guessing it was Ryan who did it and I bet he gets away with murder. READ MORE
Vincent Irizarry (David) took to his official website to bid farewell to his All My Children fans and thank them for their continued support.
"I am so touched by the overwhelming support I have received over these past few days from the many fans of All My Children. Regarding my character's sudden end and any previously reported news of negotiations between me and ABC, those statements were not authorized and premature. Unfortunately, there's really not much more I can say at this time except how truly appreciative I am for all the comments on websites and message boards which have been written in support of my work and my character. There would be no doubt to me whatsoever, if I ever do return to AMC it will be in greater part because of this wonderful outpouring from all of you who love the show and David as much as I do. I am forever grateful to all of you…"

"We are sorry to lose Vincent, but David’s death was storyline-dictated and the payoff of this story will reveal many unexpected twists and plot developments,"
According to the actor himself, the news regarding his contract talks was "not authorized and premature."

Just in case Vincent Irizarry isn't ready to give up those frequent flyer miles commuting back and forth from NYC to LA, I think I might have come up with a near perfect Wishful Casting for the talented Daytime Emmy winning multi-soaper. What if Irizarry joined the cast of ABC Daytime's flagship sudser General Hospital as Sonny's (Maurice Benard) despised half brother Ric Lansing? READ MORE
