Tuc Watkins

Tuc Watkins, "It's Hilarious"

Wondering what One Life to Live's Tuc Walkins thinks of having a dog named after his character David Vickers?

Turns out he thinks it's hilarious. TV Guide Canada's Nelson Branco has a new interview with the OLTL star in this week's Suds Report that you are definitely going to want to check out.

Check out this preview.

TVG: So, were you offended that head writer Ron Carlivati named Tina’s bitch, David Vickers?

TW:
I think it’s hilarious! Tuc is my real name and I’ve met a lot of dogs named Tucker. I always take offense when animals are named after me. I’m not sure why. But on TV, when your character’s name is named after a dog, it’s fun. If Ron named the dog Tuc, I’d get confused. And here’s why: Bree Williamson [Tessica] has a daughter on the show named Bree and it’s very confusing.

Two Gay Season Finale Weddings And "David Vickers" Is One Of The Grooms

While the daytime soap world is in a tizzy over whether or not two gay teens should kiss or not, ABC primetime will end its season with two gay weddings, er civil unions, according to a special primetime soap edition of TV Guide Canada's The Suds Report. Don't expect to see Eric Winter (ex-Rex, Days of Our Lives) coming back to complicate things at Kevin and Scotty's season finale wedding on Brothers and Sisters.

“We’ve done the gay triangle already; it’s time to move on to something else,” Matthew Rhys (Kevin) shared with Nelson Branco at the GLAAD awards.

ABC's other Sunday night powerhouse, Desperate Housewives, will also see Bob and Lee, the gay couple who serves as the bane of Susan's existance, tie the knot during its season ender, which will reportedly flash the show forward five years.

Nelson asked DH headman Marc Cherry about the future of Tuc Watkins (Bob) on the sudser and Cherry confirmed that Watkins will be doing both Housewives and One Life to Live for the foreseeable future. Sounds like a Win/Win for ABC soap fans!

On the Stands: Soap Opera Digest

This might as well be the "So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, Goodbye!" edition of Soap Opera Digest. Granted they do have Tuc Watkins return on the cover but look at who has the major page space Brandon Beemer, Martha Madison, Jesse Soffer, Jennifer Landon, Ricky Paull Golden and Beth Ehlers. Ouch. Let's hope that next week's cover isn't so darn depressing.

One Life to Live: It's Official Tuc Watkins Returns as David Vickers

Whoohoo! ABC finally confirmed what had been rumored for quite a while. Tuc Watkins is returning to One Life to Live as David Vickers.

ABC doesn't say how long David Vickers will be sticking around Llanview but his first air date will be May 7th.

This got me to thinking about what I am looking to most with David's return? Is it his on again off again romance with Dorian? Is it David and Vicki's relationship? Could it be the revelation that he's a Buchanan or Clint's reaction to such a revelation? Assuming that the big secret finally gets out could it be the David vs. Jared face off. What about Renee's reaction to the news?

What about David Vickers return are you looking forward to most?

One Life to Live: Tuc Watkins Returns as David Vickers

Dig out those binoculars ladies, you're about to do some major ogling! TV Guide Canada's Nelson Branco is reporting that One Life to Live and Desperate Housewive's Tuc Watkins is returning to Llanview as David Vickers, the cad with a good heart and out for a quick buck.

For those of you who may not be up on One Life to Live. The last we saw, David Vickers left Llanview after Alex Olanov divorced him when she found out, thanks to Jared and Nigel's deception, that he wasn't the Buchanan heir.

Of course he is Asa's long lost son but Jared's stealing David's hair and using it to fake the DNA test along with Nigel's belief that the Buchanan family would erupt at the news that David being a Buchanan have kept David from claiming the Buchanan name and the $10 million inheritance that Asa left him.

Since Tuc Watkins' David Vickers is so popular I thought I'd ask what is your David Vickers moment, scene, or storyline? Personally, I was a HUGE fan of David and Dorian but not having them get married sort of ruined them for me.

Looking back I think that my favorite David Vickers storyline was his time living with Vicki. That was sort of the beginning of Erika's resurgence as Vicki that led into the Paris Texas storyline.
