Desperate Housewives Gets Eviction Notice?

ABC keeps killing my favorite shows! Last season they cancelled Brothers & Sisters and now, according to Deadline, the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives will be its last.  Reportedly, ABC will make the announcement on Sunday at the Television Critics Associate’s press tour. I know many people think Desperate Housewives should have been put out of its misery a while ago, but like Brothers & Sisters before it, I still enjoy DH. I’m not sure I want to imagine Sunday nights without Bree (Marcia Cross), Gaby (Eva Longoria) or Susan (Teri Hatcher), but I won’t miss a single Scavo.

Friday Fun in Primetime: Hatcher and Hartley on Smallville; a Blue Bloods You Can’t Miss!

My DVRs are much happier Friday evenings because they don’t get the work out they do on Thursdays. That isn’t to say they aren’t kept busy. In addition to whatever scripted sci-fi series are currently airing on SyFy–in this week’s case Sanctuary–my DVRs also record long-time CW hit Smallville and the freshman series Pop Confidential’s Jamey Giddens and Regan Cellura called the best new TV series of the season on our Top 5 New Fall Series podcast, Blue Bloods. Desperate Housewives Returns Tonight!

The ladies of Desperate Housewives return tonight and I have to say I'm looking forward to it. The five year jump that took place in last season's season finale has me very intrigued, though I must mention that I'm not entirely sure what I think of turning Gaby into a frazzled woman. Spoiled rich girl characters don't always make the transition from being a diva to being average that well.

What I've always wondered is what people think of the four main characters Bree, Lynette, Susan and Gabrielle. Personally, I'm a huge fan of Teri Hatcher thanks to Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman but it is Marcia Cross' Bree Van De Kamp that is my favorite character. No one does ice like Bree does and there is just something you have to admire about a woman who can shoot the lights out of a car and then turn around and bring a sworn enemy a basket of muffins. Love it.

I've always enjoyed Eva Longoria's Gabrielle and she often makes me laugh but as much as I respect Felicity Huffman as an actress, Lynette drives me absoutely nuts.

So here is my question. Which of the four main characters do you hate most?
