Y&R's Itchy Twitchy Feelin'
By Luke Kerr on September 17, 2009
I swear, while watching The Young and the Restless today, as everyone and their mother started getting bad feelings about Colleen, I half expected Guiding Light's Alexandra Spaulding to pop out from behind a bush singing Bobby Hendricks' "Itchy Twitchy Feelin'." I've never been a fan of Tammin Sursok's Colleen, but as Jamey, Jillian, Mike and Mel have all pointed out on the podcast on multiple occasions, another Abbott shouldn't be the one to die.

By Jillian Bowe on August 14, 2009BREAKING NEWS: Is Tammin Sursok OUT at The Young and the Restless?
By Jamey Giddens on July 17, 2009
Colleen may have returned to our screens this past week on The Young and the Restless, but a source close to Tammin Sursok is saying her stay won't be a long one.
"Tammin has been let go from The Young and the Restless," says the source. 'She's been really busy with a lot of other projects, so it's been hard for the soap to write her in. "
Sursok is currently filming Flicka 2, directed by Michael Damian (ex-Danny, Romalotti, The Young and the Restless), and is slated to appear in a sequel to Nickelodeon's Spectacular! entitled Spectacular 2: The Dream Continues.
Now word yet on how Colleen will be written out, but the role reportedly won't be recast.

Wishful (Stunt) Casting: Maury Povich as Himself on The Young and the Restless
By Jamey Giddens on May 07, 2009

Okay, so anyone who listened to those Top 10 Ways to Improve This Soap or That One episodes of the Daytime Confidential podcast knows how I feel about stunt casting. Generally, I hate the concept. Especially if a soap is already smelling up the joint like a backed up port-a-potty at the Four States Fair.
Who cares about seeing some Nascar driver or Donald Trump when the soaps that brings them on aren't using the vets we know and love and are telling recycled, tired stories? However, when a soap is firing on all cylinders, telling good, juicy, character-driven tales of love, lust, and, okay, the occasional chipmunk (nobody's perfect), that the majority of the fans are enjoying, then I don't mind them having a little fun with casting. That's why I think The Young and the Restless should bring on talk show host/baby daddy-figurer-outer Maury Povich for a dream sequence starring Sharon Newman Abbott (Sharon Case)! READ MORE
